Interaction with Guests
I should be home when you arrive to give you the key myself.
Plan to be in the other side of the house most of the time.
Ask me about Bitcoin.
When you check out, just leave the key on the dresser - no need to hand it to me directly.
Midtown Palo Alto is 3 miles from Stanford. Palo Alto is one of the most expensive small towns in Northern California, and the Midtown neighborhood is no exception. The old Eichler houses are slowly but surely getting replaced by $2 million, 2-story mansions.
A bus stop 3 minutes walk away. Never tried using the bus in Palo Alto.
Need to rent a bike? Ask me first.

Other Things to Note
Plenty of street parking. Just use your common sense to not block driveways. In Palo Alto we street-park with two wheels on the sidewalk. No need to worry about street cleaning days - the cleaning truck will just drive around your car and you will not get a ticket, let alone get towed.
Park on the street, NOT in front of the garage door.
Keep the noise down. My neighbors have paid through the nose to live in Palo Alto and so feel obligated to enjoy the silence. Please help them.
No smoking in the room. If you smoke in the back yard, please close the door & windows so the smoke does not spread into the room.
Avram was very nice and patient with my flight delays. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.
Avram was a great host! The room was very clean and the neighborhood was very peaceful. He was very welcoming and explained everything on the first night. Communications were very helpful too. I'd recommend it to all.
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Avram was very welcoming. He explained a lot about the place and had useful advice about the area as well. We arrived at a very clean, almost immaculate place with many extras we had not expected. The neighborhood is absolutely quiet and peaceful and the separate entrance allows guests a maximum of privacy. Great host!
Great place to rest during my trip out to Palo Alto. Avram was extremely responsive to emails and texts. The place was clean and comfortable. Definitely a nice place to stay and would do so again in the future.
Staying at Avram's place was wonderful. He was very easy to talk to and helped us whenever possible. The room was clean, we even had our own fridge and a microwave. Avran's place lies in a very lovely and quiet part of Palo Alto. From there it's a 15 minute drive to Stanford University and 10 minutes to downtown. Just around the corner is a great coffee shop (Phil'z Coffee) followed by a Safeways supermarket. We loved our time at Avram's and would always come back!
The room was as described in a quite and convenient part of Palo Alto. Avram made sure I had everything I need. I will definitely stay again.
I'm a 30-something guy, a web developer and a Bitcoin enthusiast. I have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house so I would like to rent a bedroom and a bath. Sorry, kitchen not included. I'm currently (July 28, 2014) between jobs, so I probably will be at home during much of your stay. If you contact me on Friday night or Saturday, I will not respond until Saturday night - thanks for your patience.
