This elegant and newly restored home offers a panoramic view of the ocean horizon, Mt. Brazil and the town of Sao Mateus. Located on a tall sea wall this house looks like a fortress with large balconies, patio seating areas and a beautiful views.
Easy access to all amenities in a lovely setting. This lively little fishing port home boasts the best dinning on the Island, night life, wale museum, grocery, coffee, gift shop, church, ice cream parlor, pier fishing, and swimming in ocean water.
This beautiful historic home, has been completely remodeled with all the modern amenities. It is located on an old world fishing port and surrounded by spectacular views. Very private, secure, and decorated with hand painted tile art. It is elegance in it's finest form.
Restaurants, festivals, bars, cafes, small grocery stores, swimming, fishing and more. are all a short walk away. You will notice, that at all times, you can look in any direction and you will see where the earth meets the sky. You will also notice, how this view changes throughout the day. But what I find the most thrilling are the rainbows, that stretch across the Island sky, from end to end...truly amazing!
The ocean view, that melts into the sky at sunrise and sunset, with an explosion of water color shades of orange, red, pink, violet, blue and lavender, is a quiet, intensely lovely moment in time, and worth the travel. Time moves a little slower here.
Fishing, swimming, restaurants, coffee and bakeries, grocery shopping, gas station, gift shop, bars, dancing, ice cream, old church, local fare and the most amazing water color sky.
Elsa our caretaker will receive you to give you keys and a tour of the house to answer any questions you might have. We also have a local tour guide who you can request. The locals are very friendly and helpful.
I'm related to almost the whole village therefore you will be welcomed as family guests. The house is located on one of the very last little fishing ports that dates back to the late 1400s. Everything you need is in walking distance and the views are beautiful. I love to sit on the patio with a couple of tea watching the colorful little boats going in and out. The port is alive but everything moves very slowly.
There is a bus that goes around the Island 2 times per day but I recommend renting a car. We get a discount with a rental company at the airport. Please let me know if your interested and I will send you their contact.
Watch the sky. It is truly amazing. It takes my breath away. Please know time moves slower here, you will find the days are longer and the food tastes better.
Restaurants, shopping, swimming, fishing, hiking, exploring,..phone for local call and international free after 9:00pm and before 9:am.

I'm Anna a local who imagrated when I was young. Coming here has been a wonderful experience for me and my family. This house was a dream that came with the amazing opportunity to purchase the property. The view of life in an old time fishing village is complete with crusty little old men drinking dark coffee and sharing a smile. A simple place in time and a natural wonder. I find myself just staring off at the beauty that surrounds me there...rich with culture, tradition and the taste of the ocean on my lips. I offer all this opportunity to live in what is authentic.
