For your discovery tour of Connemara we offer a comfortable double or twin room with garden views. We are only five minutes from Clifden - directly on the "Wild Atlantic Way". Letterfrack National Park and Kylemore Abbey are just ten minutes away.
Tuck Mill Lodge is build on the site of a former Tuck Mill – which was used to clean the wool of Connemara sheep. The river still flows along one side of the house into Streamstown Bay. Our rooms are spacious with a sitting area and en-suit bathrooms. Guests can make tea and coffee in their rooms and sit down and relax. Every room has information about local sights and activities, and we can offer advice about what to do and where to go.
There is free WiFi everywhere in the house.
Breakfast is served in the conservatory, which is a lovely space for guests to use any time of the day – for a cup of tea or to see the sun go down.
Clifden - the capital of Connemara – is only a five minute drive away. A lively town with Pubs, restaurants and shops it’s the right place to enjoy the best of local food and listen to traditional Irish music. Here you start your discovery tour of Connemara from the barren south part around Carna and Roundstone or the wooded north site with the Connemara National Park and historic Kylemore Abbey and garden. You can climb the Diamond mountain or walk along sea shores or take a trip on the boot that brings you out Killary Bay – the only Fiord in Ireland – to see Dolphins.
Many more activities can be arranged, including pony riding on the beach or a day trip with the ferry to Inishbofin Island where you can cycle or walk around this small island in just one day.

As a former journalist I love to meet new people, and because I travelled myself a lot, I know what makes guests comfortable and relaxed when they stay away from home.
