Great experience. Welcome note when I arrived. Very nice and provided a great room and easy to contact. Will definitely be back.
I was greeted by Laurie, her daughter, and two adorable dogs when I arrived. Laurie walked me through the room, bathroom, and wifi and then left me to settle in. I was in the area for an even happening about a half hour north, so I didn't spend much time at the house, so that was the last I saw them. The room was as described, the house was very close to Hanover and rt 91 (though it didn't feel like it once you were at the house). I'd stay here again.
We had a great stay at Laurie's --everything was as described and the location was perfect, close to Hanover, Dartmouth, and most importantly, to the King Arthur bakery/cafe! Both rooms are decorated colorfully, and both beds are comfy.
Laurie came down to greet me when I arrived. During our brief conversation, I found out that her daughter Hannah and I have something in common, and Laurie invited me upstairs to meet her. I had a great evening getting to know both of them over dinner.
Laurie has two friendly dogs. I do not have much experience interacting with dogs, but it was definitely not a problem during my stay.
As I entered my room, I found oatmeal raisin cookies waiting for me --- another nice touch. Prior to my arrival, I asked for an iron and an ironing board, and there they were at one corner of the room. The bed was very comfortable and warm, more so than my own bed!
On the day of my departure, Laurie offered to give me a ride to the train station as she was heading out that way. I was not quite ready yet, but I definitely appreciate her offer.
To summarize, Laurie is a great host. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed during my stay.
Laurie is a welcoming, generous, and incredibly accommodating host. I needed to change the dates of my trip and to stay an extra night and none of the changes were a problem at all. She also offered to both pick me up and drop me off at the bus stop on arrival/departure. The house itself is comfortable and warm and the description very accurate. If you do have allergies - like I do - it is worth bearing in mind that the dogs are around. As other already commented, they are the most charming pair, are never in the way and Laurie makes sure they don't disturb you, but they are around and if you are sensitive, then having some anti-histamines at hand won't hurt. I stayed with Laurie while visiting Dartmouth and could easily walk to campus every day - very easily accessible along a very pleasant 15 minute walk. Central Norwich is also close by, so the location is very convenient. I would happily stay with Laurie if I was in the area.
