Laurie is a welcoming, generous, and incredibly accommodating host. I needed to change the dates of my trip and to stay an extra night and none of the changes were a problem at all. She also offered to both pick me up and drop me off at the bus stop on arrival/departure. The house itself is comfortable and warm and the description very accurate. If you do have allergies - like I do - it is worth bearing in mind that the dogs are around. As other already commented, they are the most charming pair, are never in the way and Laurie makes sure they don't disturb you, but they are around and if you are sensitive, then having some anti-histamines at hand won't hurt. I stayed with Laurie while visiting Dartmouth and could easily walk to campus every day - very easily accessible along a very pleasant 15 minute walk. Central Norwich is also close by, so the location is very convenient. I would happily stay with Laurie if I was in the area.
Laurie was very helpful with information about the area as well as Dartmouth. Our stay was quite brief but the location and facilities are accurately described. It was very conveniently located to access Hanover and the university.
Laurie was very welcoming and accommodating of our later arrival. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable.
Laurie was nice as usual, welcoming me and my husband in the warm room. The day was snowy and frigid cold, but she made sure the long driveway was plowed for us.
Laurie kept to herself but left us a welcome letter and left the door unlocked for when we arrived. We were very comfortable in her home and had total privacy! She had tea bags and local honey set out, and the beds were so comfortable. The house is set apart from any others and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. We had a great experience - the listing was very accurate. Thank you Laurie!
Arrived and got settled in easily, even though we got in later at night than expected. Bed was extremely comfy, but note, if two people sleep together, you should expect to roll towards a big cuddle in the middle! Hot water kettle and mugs in the room let us have our tea before bed and warm up after the chilly day, which we were happy about. We didn't happen to see Laurie until the next evening, but she was gracious to ask if we needed anything else to make us comfy (we didn't). Only hitch was that the morning of my interview, the hot water seemed to be acting up, and didn't hold out for a short body-only shower. Otherwise, this was perfectly close to the school, and King Arthur!
Laurie was absolutely accommodating for our party visiting over the new year and her home was lovely. She had coffee and local honey for us in one of the bedrooms and thoroughly walked us through all of the quirks of the house so our stay was as comfortable (and warm!) as it could be. An additional fun time was had playing with their two adorable dogs. The home was clean, easily accessible to Hanover (a few of us are alums) and just overall a beautiful, perfect place to celebrate. Thank you Laurie!
