Interaction with Guests
The amount of interaction we have with our guests very much depends on the guest. You will see from our reviews that we fully understand what Airbnb is all about. If you, as a guest, wish to sit with us and share stories and experiences we will be delighted to chat over a tea/coffee or maybe even, on occasion, a glass of wine or a beer. However, if you wish to take a quiet and relaxing break where you enjoy your own company we will be happy to respect that.
We are situated on the edge of the Phoenix Park (the largest inner-city park in Europe). Our complex is modern and spacious with well manicured common areas. It is a very safe and secure area and easy to access by car, bus or train.
You should try to take a walk in the park if you have the time - you might even spot some deer. Or maybe take a walk along the banks of the Royal Canal.
There are nice places to eat within easy walking distance and also a number of pubs. There is also a local shop within our development and a larger supermarket a short walk away.
The city centre (O'Connell Street) is only 20 minutes away by bus/train. We have an excellent connection to the city centre by Dublin Bus numbers 37, 38, 38A, 39, 39A and 70. We are only three stops from the city centre on the Maynooth train line. Full directions are provided after booking in the automated email you will receive - PLEASE PRINT THEM OFF AND TAKE THEM WITH YOU.
We are only 10-15 minutes drive from Dublin Airport and we may be able to pick you up on your arrival (at a small extra charge) depending on your arrival date and time and our work hours. Otherwise, you can get to us from the airport by taking the 747 bus to the city centre and then taking the bus numbers above (or the train) to our place. More details provided in the booking confirmation email.
If you are taking a car, there is free parking available.
Smoking is permitted but only on the balcony. A continental style breakfast is included but you must help yourself. You can help yourself to tea or coffee whenever you wish.

Excellent stay at Marcin and Joe. They are both friendly and easy-going and the view from the apartment is very nice.
Marcin and joe's house was very clean and cozy. I was really satisfied with their house! Also location of the house was perfect. You can get there very easily. Although i didnt have many chance to talk to them, but it was good experience :) thank you
Marcin and Joe were awesome hosts; very welcoming and very informative. I am much appreciative of their correspondence before our stay and their willingness to accommodate for 3 guests. Their directions to the apartment were very detailed, with/without having a GPS navigator. They gave us lots of information about places to eat and sites to see; they even chatted with us a bit even after a long day at work and gave us a parking spot because we came in late.
Their apartment itself is beautiful with great views, and close proximity to the City Centre. Even though we had a vehicle for our trip, it was very convenient for us to take a very nice walk into Phoenix Park and to take the bus (Bus 37 and 39) to the City Centre at O'Connell. The bus ride took approximately 15-20 minutes into Dublin, which wasn't bad at all. The apartment is also located around the corner from Londis where you can get some snacks/food to eat, as well as a 5-minute walk to a beautiful pub for drinks/late night snacks. Marcin and Joe made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable, which was much appreciative. Maps of the city/tourist sites were available, along with Leap card that we loaded funds into to use the bus. Our favorite thing about the apartment was the close proximity and having a separate bathroom with good toilet paper. We definitely recommend their place and would stay there again if we have the chance to return to Dublin.
very friendly and kind host! and the house is very awsome!! I really enjoy my dublin trip.
Marcin and Joe picked us up at the airport and made us feel very welcome. It was very nice to chat and they gave us a lot of information about the place and how to get around.
The appartment itself was great. The bedroom had a stunning view and was very clean. There was plenty of storage space, which can be very useful, if you stay for a longer time. The bathroom was very nice as well and everything needed was there.
Furthermore, we were grateful that we could use the kitchen.
All in all, a great place with nice, very cool people.
Marcin and Joe were great hosts, very friendly and on hand to answer any questions when needed. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. The apartment is bright and spacious, with easy access to centre city by bus. I would highly recommend staying there on your next trip to Dublin!
Joe and Marcin were such great hosts. They were always quick to respond, were willing to sit and chat, and offered some great suggestions on places to eat. Their place was really nice, clean, and modern and was in a nice area. Would definitely stay again if we had the chance.
About the Host, Marcin & Joe
We are two very easy going professional guys living and working in Dublin.
Marcin - late twenties, Polish, living in Dublin for over six years now. Fluent in Polish and English, with an understanding of Russian. Love theatre, movies, travel, music.
Joe - late thirties, Irish, have lived in a few different places around Ireland and abroad but living in Dublin full-time now for a number of years. Fluent in English only, I'm afraid, but have a basic knowledge of Gaelic (used to be fluent, but no longer) and have basic French. Also trying to learn Polish but with only limited success. Love theatre, movies, travel, music (all sorts), snowboarding.
We love to travel and between us we have been to many places over the years, including the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Switzerland and New York.
We joined Airbnb on a trial basis but fell in love with the whole experience. We have hosted some really great guests and want to continue this great experience. We can accommodate either single visitors or couples so check out our place if you are interested in spending time in Dublin.
The photo of us with the parrots was taken when we were on holidays. We have no pets. Just thought we would put that in as many people have wondered if we have parrots or other pets.
Hope to chat and meet with you soon.
Marcin & Joe.
