Large comfortable double room with exclusive use of our main bathroom in large modern apartment on the edge of the Phoenix Park. The perfect balance of proximity to the City Centre whilst also enjoying views of trees, manicured lawns, etc.

The Space

Large Double bedroom suitable for two people with exclusive use of the main bathroom. Bedroom has plenty of storage with a large built-in wardrobe and separate chest of drawers. Also mirror, two bedside lockers, reading lamps and hair dryer. Blackout blinds. Very warm and cozy.

Bathroom has powerful shower over bath, WC, wash basin, tiled floor and large full-wall mirror, recessed lighting, very modern. Towels provided.

Living area styled in a contemporary way with large floor to ceiling windows on two sides giving pleasant views over North Dublin. Large balcony if you fancy a cigarette or a sit down with a tea/coffee or glass of wine or a beer.

Kitchen has all modern conveniences including large built in fridge and freezer, built in dishwasher, built in washer/dryer, oven and ceramic hob, Gaggia espresso maker, bread maker, microwave, etc. etc.

Apartment is on the second floor of an exclusive development on the edge of the Phoenix Park (the largest inner-city park in Europe). Very spacious with a light airy feel whilst also very warm and comfortable.

All guests will have the option to help themselves to breakfast in the morning and tea/coffee as they desire throughout the day and evening, all included in the price.

We try to be as flexible as we can with check-in and checkout, however, Monday to Friday we both work during the day and usually cannot accommodate a check-in before 3.30 p.m. or so. At the weekends we can be more flexible. Checkout is flexible too depending on when our next guest will arrive. You will never be asked to checkout before 12 noon.

We offer accommodation which is very much LGBT friendly.

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and if you have any special requirements, please feel free to ask and we will accommodate them if we can.

Guest Access

Guests will have exclusive use of the guest bedroom and exclusive use of the main bathroom. Livingroom, kitchen, hallway and balcony shared with the Hosts.

Interaction with Guests

The amount of interaction we have with our guests very much depends on the guest. You will see from our reviews that we fully understand what Airbnb is all about. If you, as a guest, wish to sit with us and share stories and experiences we will be delighted to chat over a tea/coffee or maybe even, on occasion, a glass of wine or a beer. However, if you wish to take a quiet and relaxing break where you enjoy your own company we will be happy to respect that.

The Neighborhood

We are situated on the edge of the Phoenix Park (the largest inner-city park in Europe). Our complex is modern and spacious with well manicured common areas. It is a very safe and secure area and easy to access by car, bus or train.

You should try to take a walk in the park if you have the time - you might even spot some deer. Or maybe take a walk along the banks of the Grand Canal.

There are nice places to eat within easy walking distance and also a number of pubs.

Getting around

The city centre (O'Connell Street) is only 20 minutes away by bus/train. We have an excellent connection to the city centre by Dublin Bus numbers 37, 38, 38A, 39, 39A and 70. We are only three stops from the city centre on the Maynooth train line. Full directions are provided after booking in the automated email you will receive - please print them off and take them with you.

We are only 10-15 minutes drive from Dublin Airport and we may be able to pick you up on your arrival (at a small extra charge) depending on your arrival date and time and our work hours. Otherwise, you can get to us from the airport by taking the 747 bus to the city centre and then taking the bus numbers above (or the train) to our place. More details provided in the booking confirmation email.

If you are taking a car, there is free parking available.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Marcin and Joe's lovely apartment in Phoenix Park. It was a last minute reservation and though away on holidays themselves, they allowed me to stay (had the apartment to myself) and I was greeted and made welcome by two of their friends.
Joe and Marcin even checked in a couple of times via email to make sure everything was okay.

Though I didn't get to meet them in person, they were very conscientious hosts and the apartment is clean and very comfortable.

    Thank you, gents, highly recommended.

  • This was our first experience with Airbnb and Joe and Marcin were perfect hosts! They are really friendly and easy to hang out with. They were really helpful with advice and tips even before we arrived, and helped us to plan our journey to our workplace. With their help, we settled into Dublin very comfortably and quickly. The location is great with direct buses into the city and Blanchardstown. The apartment is also really clean, pretty and spacious. Marcin and Joe also very easygoing with regards to using of space in their house and we could hang out anywhere in the house and use their kitchen and other household items freely. We really enjoyed interacting with them - from getting to know more about them to about Dublin and Ireland and in fact anything in particular. We are also particularly grateful for their trust in leaving the house to ourselves when they went overseas. We are so lucky we found this place, and to have made 2 friends whilst on this trip! We will definitely stay here again when we return to Dublin :)

  • Marcin and Joe were great hosts! We had just moved to Dublin and stayed with them while looking for a place of our own. Marcin and Joe were an invaluable help in getting us situated in Dublin; they were less like hosts and more like friends as they went above and beyond. Their apartment complex was also so nice (right next to Phoenix Park and well connected to transport) that we ended up taking a unit down the street. They made us feel right at home as guests, and hopefully we'll find a way to return the hospitality as neighbors.

  • This was our first airbnb experience! Me and my boyfriend stayd with Marcin&Joe 8 days, and really enjoyed our stay. They are very relaxed and helpful hosts. The area is very well served by buses, so it is ideal place to stay if you wish to spend your time wherever in Dublin.
They are friendly and welcoming. The room is clean, warm and the bed is quite comfortable.
Altogether, we are happy that we choose Marcin&Joe as our hosts!

  • Best AirBnB experience ever! Joe and Marcin went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Their apartment is beautiful and clean! Great part of town, easy access to city centre but also a nice and quiet escape.

  • Marcin and Joe are really great hosts and we had a very comfortable stay in their apartment. Having stayed in many airbnb homes before, we rate this place very highly and can definitely recommend it. The location is close to Phoenix Park (great if you love walks and running) and convenient to get to town by bus. The room is warm, spacious and perfect for what we need. The private bathroom is an added bonus for us. Marcin and Joe also provided breakfast for us every morning and we enjoyed their company over dinner one night. They are genuine and funny and made our time in Dublin very enjoyable despite the rainy weather!

We are two very easy going professional guys living and working in Dublin. Marcin - mid twenties, Polish, living in Dublin for over five years now. Fluent in Polish and English, with an understanding of Russian. Love theatre, movies, travel, music. Joe - late thirties, Irish, have lived in a few different places around Ireland and abroad but living in Dublin full-time now for a number of years. Fluent in English only, I'm afraid, but have a basic knowledge of Gaelic (used to be fluent, but no longer) and have basic French. Also trying to learn Polish but with only limited success. Love theatre, movies, travel, music (all sorts), snowboarding. We love to travel and between us we have been to many places over the years, including the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Switzerland and New York. We joined Airbnb in Spring 2012 on a trial basis but fell in love with the whole experience. We have hosted some really great guests and want to continue this great experience. We can accommodate either single visitors or couples so check out our place if you are interested in spending time in Dublin. The photo of us with the parrots was taken when we were on holidays. We have no pets. Just thought we would put that in as many people have wondered if we have parrots or other pets. Hope to chat and meet with you soon. Marcin & Joe.
