- location: 15mins walking from termini station and 3 mins walking from metrostation and 4mins from busstation: easy to reach.
- room: nice, noise from street, 4th floor, so little less.
- elevator available (cool for bags into 4th floor)
- own shower and toilet. shower is very narrow. not usable if you are xxl.
- no climatecontrol.. but thick walls. as long as the shades remain closed its bearable.
- highlevel communication by sms/texts (emails did not get answered for me)
- flexibility in arriving times (very nice.. i underestimated the airport to termini travel: 30mins every some 20mins).
- nice kitchen / no other public rooms.
- no tv (fine for me)
- speedy wifi (perfect)
- breakfast consists of a coffee. with milk if milk is available (sometimes) and sugar if available (sometimes) and a sealed croissant with marmelade if available (sometimes a little) and butter (always enough). if you bring chocolate powder there is even a tool to get a smileyface on your coffee. fridge is almost empty and what is in there is almost empty.. thats definitely nit their specialty.
- powerplugconverters for the wall not available.. but also not needed for swiss and germans at least. the old italian powerplugs are not used in this house so this is not an issue as long as one knows.
- bring your own shampoo. (in a small bottle.. the shower is .. narrow)
Thanks for the good time!
I stayed in the Victoia Room for 4 nights. It was the first time I had used Air bnb and I had just flown into Rome after the long flight from Auustrala. The apartment was easy to find and Amyra was there to greet me. It couldn't have been a nicer experience. Both
Camilla and Amyra were both such delightful people and only too happy to answer my numerous questions . The apartment wasmetiiculously clean with a warm and welcoming feel. The spectacular nearby bakery Roscioli where breakfast was served was so good I ended up having lunch there as well when possible . My only criticism was that the shower water was cold for 2 days.
THe Room at Camilla and Malvina was divine! Lovely deco, very quiet, very well organized breakfast.
A pity I spent only one night there. I will definitely go back, next time in Rome.
Camilla and Aymara are very pleasant and personable. The facilities are also nice, and pleasant. The location is half a block from Victor Emanuel II Park where there is a Metro stop, first stop on Line A from Termini and very convenient. Breakfast provided at Roscioli's, 2 1/2 blocks away along a pleasant walk opposite the Park. Roscioli's is top quality and friendly. Aymara left the day we arrived to return home to Cuba. We arrived at the address at the time we had stated, rang the doorbell as directed, but no response. So we, with luggage went the 2 1/2 blocks to Roscioli's, had breakfast, then called Camilla, who answered, saying they were waiting for us. We returned and they were on the sidewalk waiting, gave us a friendly greeting. (Does the doorbell work? No explanation) I must say that at night, outside, there can be bottles in the gutter, and possibly some drunks about, but it did not bother us as we are not night people. The private bath is down the hall and has a key for privacy. We encountered no one anyway, so that was not a problem. All facilities are first class. But we had two lock problems! Key to the building is O.K. Key to the 4th floor (yes, there IS an elevator!) had problems. You have to lift the door for the key to reliably unlock the door and get in. Lock for the private bath is unusual. Both my wife and I accidentally locked ourselves in the bath! If you don't pay attention, and turn the key one extra turn with out realizing it, no matter which way you turn (once), you're still locked in! After that I just didn't lock while in the bath. Would have loved to give 5 stars, but in view of all the above, others need to know ahead.
A great first Airbnb experience! Aymara waited up for us at the apartment after our late flight in and also came straight away when we had problems figuring out the key.The room is lovely, very light and spotless. The external bathroom was just a short walk away and for our exclusive use only. Thankyou again!
Host: Aymara = A+
Aymara was very helpful and only a phone call away when we had questions. She greeted us with a kind smile that made us feel welcome and explained the layout of the room and apartment on arrival.
Accommodation: Colosseo Room Victoria, Termini, GLBT = A+
Exactly as described. The room was large and had great natural light. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean.
Locality: Central, 5 minute walk to the Colosseum = A+
The apartment is very close to everything, we could walk to the Termini to catch the Hop-on Hop-off bus and walk to the Colosseum in minutes. It's central to all the main sites, particularly if you enjoy walking.
We would definitely recommend this apartment for anybody to stay, especially for those looking for GLBT friendly accommodation.
Thank you Camilla and Aymara x
We had to find a place for just one night, practically at the last minute, and were lucky to end up here -- Aymara was very kind, very accommodating at check-in, and our night in the room was perfectly comfortable (terrific bed!). Recommended.
Large and well decorated apartment in a convenient area of Rome, highly recommended! Our host was extremely welcoming and gave us helpful advice on getting to the airport.
Extensive breakfast compared to many and tea making facilities in room was a bonus.
We had a fabulous stay at this B&B. Its location is ideal for those traveling to and from Termini station; it is also next to a tube stop and a 10 minute walk away from the Coliseum. The room was very nice and clean, with an excellent bathroom across the corridor for our use only. It overlooked the street but it never felt noisy.
The rest of the flat was nicely decorated too and the breakfast had enough selection to build up the necessary energy to tackle Rome.
Our host, Aymara, could have not been any friendlier: she explained us about the flat, the area, what to do etc. We felt like staying at a friend’s flat and would definitely consider returning next time we visit.
I couldn't have better hospitality. The host was amazing. She gave me all the informations I needed. I do love the house. beautiful the room. I want to come back there. around the house metro, shops, pizzeria, bar, gelateria and so on. thanks Aymara
