A beautiful old Roma house on the border between the Colonia Roma and the Condesa. 2 double bedrooms, 1.5 bath in a private mews set back from the hustle and bustle of the street. Fully furnished with wireless internet, Cablevision and basic ammenities included. Optional extras include cleaning, cooking, laundry and transport services, a cot and baby bath and toys for children. Young couples, familes with kids and retirees alike have all enjoyed staying here.
You are 2 blocks from Palacio de Hierro department store, dozens of hip and delicious restaurants, funky bars, the supermarket, the metrobus, all major banks, a pharmacy and the Turibus stop. 10 minutes walk to Parque Mexico, Parque Espana, the heart of Condesa, Organic grocery shops, Yoga schools, fitness centres, Insurgentes metro station and the Zona Rosa. Everything you might need, from basic shopping to fine dining and entertainment are all within easy walking distance from this lovely house. You can live in a bubble protected from the crazy traffic and chaos of this great city. Enjoy the convenience of the downtown location combined with the tranquility of being set back from the street in a private mews. Relax in the patio and enjoy the hummingbirds and butterflies when you need a break from the happening vibe of the Roma/ Condesa.
The area is a fantastic place to be based if you want to visit the sights around town. We are even on the Turibus route! It's 15 minutes to the museums, Historic Centre, Chapultepec and Polanco area and the Lucha Libre. Well connected for visiting Coyoacan and San Angel in the south, each about 30 minutes away. Or just stay in the Roma/Condesa and walk about, there is more than enough to see and do without leaving the area......from boutiques and concerts to cycling and flee markets.
I live in the mews too and am happy to be of as much help as you need to figure out the city during your stay. Don't hesitate to knock and ask questions or advice: if you need a taxi or a restaurant booked; if you want some local tips on the neighborhood or city; where best to buy the presents you are after, or even tips on the rest of the country, just knock!

My wife and I spent four weeks at Lara's place in Roma Norte. It could not have been better. Very comfortable accommodations. Lara was warm and engaging. Always helpful when we had questions. Can't imagine a better location in Roma Norte for shopping, restaurants and access to buses and the metro. We had a great time!
Dear Lara, beeing back to Germany, we still think of a great time in your lovely oasis in the great neighborhood. We really enjoyed the stay. The place was also great to work in a quiet atmosphere. My son appreciated to have his own bedroom with an artistic surrounding. Hope to see you next year again. We come back for sure.
The location is perfect and the house offers plenty of space for everyone to unwind at the end of the day. It was the perfect starting point at the beginning of the day to get to various parts of the city by bus, metro, or walking.
We loved this place! It was perfect for us a family of four... The best part was the position, a gorgeous area of Mexico City , so green and beautiful architecture . Cute cafés and restaurants, shops etc. it's very convenient as well as being a relaxing place to retreat to. Lara is a fantastic host!! She was so friendly and helpful.
We staid 3 weeks in Lara's apartment and it was great! The apartment is comfortable and Lara is a great host, very helpful and available.
I absolutely recommend her house: the zone is quite and central, super practical; the house is comfortable and we immediately felt at home.
Thank you for everything!
We loved this house! It is wonderfully located, charming and fascinating when you learn the back story of the owner. You can see her in most of the original art. Would stay there again in a second.
Lara is an excellent hostess. Her home is nicely situated in lovely Col. Roma. It is spacious, well kept and located in a great location near shopping, wonderful restaurants and much more. We would happily return!
Great place to stay. Lara is the ideal hostess. Very considerate and helpful but always respectful of our privacy. We ate outside--front--several evenings and would have done so for breakfast had the weather cooperated. The House is large and sleeps 4+1, should the need arise. The kitchen is ideal for breakfast. Given the quality and value of food in the local restaurants, I would recommend taking lunch and dinner there. Lara will assist with options. You are a few blocks from Parque Mexico and Espana. Amazing parks, check out the dog pond around 4pm at the north end of Parque Mexico, great fun to watch. The restaurants around both parks are amazing, too numerous to mention but Azul is worth a visit, As is La Tecla Roma.
We had a very pleasant stay. Lara provided excellent service: airport pick up, breakfast in the fridge upon arrival and very good tips about what to do in the city and where to eat. The house was very comfortable. Lara provided a baby cot and lent us some toys for our small kids. It's a very charming house with lots of art. The kitchen is very simple, but good enough to have some breakfast in the morning before going into town. You can get everywhere very easily from this location. We really enjoyed the San Angel and Coyoacan district. We recommend this place to everyone!
We spend a week at Lara's place and it couldn't have been more perfect for our needs. Well appointed and handsomely furnished, hers is a comfortable, spacious refuge, away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to the best neighborhoods in the DF. Lara was super easy to communicate with and addressed all of our needs. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!
