About this listing
I offer a simple but eclectic homestay, like the original intent with which Airbnb began ( I offer beds, not an air mattress!). Comfy, not fancy. I serve homemade muffins and coffee, which seem to have a universal appeal. Read full description!

No smoking, no traveling pets. Sharing the bathroom and kitchen means sharing the basic cleanup, too. Generally quiet after 11pm.
Heather was very warm and accommodating. Her house is cute and comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
We had a great stay in Summerland at Heathers home. It really felt like home. Heather is such a kind woman! She made delicious blueberrypancakes and muffins for breakfast.
It was cozy and unfortunately we had no time to stay longer. When we are another time in Canada we definately will go to Heather.
Heather's place was perfect for my two night stay in Summerland. Her pictures and description on airbnb told me exactly what to expect in terms of accommodations. I appreciated staying with a host with such a lively personality and wide-ranging interests. Heather is very creative and I enjoyed her exceptional stained glass pieces and various other works of art around the house. I also appreciated that the closet in the guest room is cleared of personal possessions and that Heather has also removed most of her personal items from the bathroom, leaving lots of space for yours. She also generously supplies a light breakfast with excellent coffee; it's a nice touch.
Heather was very welcoming, helpful, very interested and we had a nice talk about several things. She also had good tips to find good dinner places and her neighborhood was nice and quiet. Her home is pretty and the room is very comfortable and fits all our needs. Nice breakfast with homemade muffins, good coffee and nice talk. We would totally recommend Heather.
We were warmly welcomed by Heather and made to feel right at home. The room was cool and clean and adequate for our needs. Fresh coffee and muffins were served for breakfast and we enjoyed getting to know each other as a bonus. We highly recommend Heather's hospitality.
Heather made us feel very welcome. The beds were very comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. we had a very pleasant chat with her over good muffins and coffee in the morning. We would definately recommend Heathers place
Heather was lovely. Warm, inviting, welcoming. Her house is very sweet. Close to town and very quiet. She made us blueberry muffins, homemade preserves and excellent coffee in the morning. We would recommend for anyone to stay with Heather. Make sure you check out her artwork. Very talented.
About the Host, Heather S.
I am educated and self-employed, an artist and a gardener, an eclectic reader (Spider Robinson to Wade Davis). I have one Siamese cat, raucous in her old age. An omnivore who appreciates good but simple food, good but inexpensive wines, I use local food when possible, and bake my own bread. I have a compost bin, and recycle everything possible. I listen to CBC, and appreciate music, a good turn of phrase, and have a sometimes weird sense of humour. I attend a life-drawing group every week. Occasionally I still play my guitar. Am not presently able to travel, but enjoy tales and photos from those who do.
