The neighborhood

Georgetown is a historic mining town. There are great shops on 6th street. The Rose Street park is fantastic for the kids. The train has an option for a mining tour where you can learn what it was like to be a miner. I love that you can walk to the lake or the shops and restaurants. There is a creek that is just at the end of the loop the house is on. There is an information center right when you get into town that has maps for trails, hiking, biking and snow shoeing.

Other things to note

There is an information center on the right side of the road right before the round about when you first get into town. Check it out for things going on in the area during your stay. You can also check out the Georgetown website for info going on while you are here.

My wife and I rent out this house. It was our first house, where our oldest son went to preschool. We moved to Broomfield when our oldest was going to kindergarten because our jobs moved us here. We love Georgetown! We love the train, the park, the hikes, the shops (the candy shop with the ice cream is our favorite!), the restaurants and the rafting!!! We haven't tried the zip line yet but can't wait for the time we do.
