This place was great for my weekend trip to Austin! My friends and I had a great time. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We actually rented a car, but this location was very close to a lot of the places we wanted to visit, including South Congress. Brooke was very helpful and responsive when we had last minute questions about getting to the house, etc.
I was in town for a wedding and booked last minute. The house was perfect!! Lots of hot water and a comfortable bed. The decor was cute and welcoming. Perfect location. Close to everything! I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Austin.
I never met Brooke in person but she was always quick to respond and communication in general was great with detailed information making the arrival and departure a smooth ride. The accommodation itself was everything as expected; clean, tidy, plenty of towels and beer in the fridge :)
This place was a nice location for getting to the South Congress neighborhood (super quick drive or 15 minute walk to good stuff). Aside from leaving proper entrance instructions off our arrival details (you have to enter on an alley not the street address, so we wandered around in the dark for 20 minutes), Brooke was very communicative and attentive when we had issues so that was great.
I think this place would be fine for a short weekend stay, but we were there for a month and some of it's "quirks" were hard to deal with so I wouldn't recommend a long stay. All the furniture is very hodge-podge and mostly uncomfortable -- the couch and chair in the living room are space themed and weird shaped, not ideal for lounging. The decals in the living room are peeling up off the wall and just look bad. The beds have very thin mattresses with zero support so we woke up every morning with back pain and had to go out and buy an egg crate to make it more tenable (we're 30, not 50 so this is not a usual problem for us). There is no outlet in the bathroom, so you can't blow dry/curl your hair in the mirror (I know, girl problems!), so you have to use the only other mirror in the house which is one of the bedrooms, but it has no counter tops for your tools.
The kitchen counters are painted with black paint (strange design choice), but clearly not sealed off to be food safe since it's chipping everywhere, so we only had a small cutting board to use for food preparation. Again, fine if you're there for 2 days and eating out all the time, but hard if you plan on cooking and having meals at home!
In general, this was a fine place and we love Austin.
Sorry for the late review. Absolutely perfect. Convenient location, plenty of space and especially enjoyed the yoga DVD. My pup and I loved it. Thanks so much Brooke.
Had a great time in Austin and staying at this cottage...... My Fiancé and I actually got engaged on this trip so it was VERY memorable!! The cottage was a perfect retreat and Brooke was an excellent host!
Cute little house with space for 4 in a great location. It had a nice mix of being in a neighborhood but still being in walking distance to South Congress. We did rent a car, which you would likely need to get downtown. Brooke was a great hostess, very communicative and helpful! Highly recommend this property for your stay in Austin!
Great experience overall!! Brooke was great with commutation and recommendations for things around the city. The apartment was huge, clean and very comfortable! Totally recommend this suite!!!
This was a great residence, the pictures do not do the place justice. Communication with Brooke was timely and appropriate. The neighborhood is quite and nice, a short drive to S.Congress, or a slightly vigorous bike ride(a few hills).
The place was well stocked, clean linens, towels, etc. I cooked a few meals and for the most part there was everything I needed to make it happen, less the grocery store items. There is a decent HEB just a couple miles away. I will definitely be back on my next trip to ATX.
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean. It was in a great location. Brooke was a great host.
