The Space

We've got an extra room in our '50s ranch in a quiet neighborhood on the west side of Ann Arbor.

The room is a private room with twin bed, futon, a set of shelves, two large windows and closet. One very friendly cat also occupies the house.

Guest Access

Shared bathroom, kitchen, and living room. The kitchen is very well equipped and open to anyone who stays with us.

We have wireless internet, no TV... An iron and an half-size ironing board. A hair dryer. A washer and dryer is available, although you'd have to venture into the basement (yikes!). Anything else? Just ask!

Interaction with Guests

Make yourself at home! We do this because we like to host and meet new people. Don't be shy.

Getting around

The house is about 1.5 miles from town and about 2 miles from campus, not impossible to walk - but a bit of a hike. We are located right on a bus line which will bring you directly into downtown. The buses run every half hour during the day, and every hour into the evenings and on weekends (you can find the schedules from the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority's website, we're on the 12A/B and 18 routes, Route 13 also works in a pinch). If you're driving, parking is not a problem just pull right into the driveway, we don't have a car.

Other Things to Note

We are both grad students at UM and our schedules are very flexible. We try to keep a 9 - 5 schedule but sometimes things get a bit stretched. Usually at least one of us is available for your arrival at anytime during the day and often times one of us will work from home.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • This was a quick, but pleasant stay. I had a lot of work to do and Tiffany and Bill's place was the perfect place to be productive (loved having NPR on softly in the background!). Great location too. Would have loved to go for a run in their neighborhood in the morning if it weren't for work and cold.

  • This was our first time using Air BnB, and Bill and Tiffany were excellent hosts. Their house is very homey and welcoming, and the bedroom is comfortable as well! Their cat, Eno, is the best. They're both knowledgeable about things to do in Ann Arbor/Detroit and helped us out with figuring out the public transportation. We had a great time at their place!

  • My boyfriend and I were in Ann Arbor for a night and needed a place to stay. Bill and Tiffany were both friendly and helpful in giving suggestions of things to do in the area and their overall experience of the city. The house was cozy and in a great location. We would definitely stay there again if we are back in town.

  • Stay with Bill and Tiffany! This couple is the BEST! Really chilled out people, we had a great night with them and their friends they had over. I'm really glad I stayed at their place. Bill and Tiffany have a place to stay anytime they want in Montreal.

  • I had a good time staying at Bill & Tiffany's, even though it was for a really short trip. The house and room itself were clean and cozy. They made me feel really welcome and I had a great time chatting about life in Ann Arbor. I would definitely come back if I'm in town visiting again.

  • I was so bummed to only stay in Ann Arbor for one night, but Bill and Tiffany were super fun and awesome! They are really cool & laid back and have the cutest cat. I really was sorry I couldn't stay longer.

  • Bill and Tiffany are just amazing hosts and persons. Very, very attentive and helpful. I spend five weeks at their place and there was not one single day I had the feeling that I am not welcomed. The place is very nice too. It is located in a nice, quiet and save area 15 minutes from downtown. If you want to go by bike you should be aware of the hill you have to climb if you come back. But it is so much fun to go downhill. Bill was so kind to borrow me one of his great bikes. And if you want to go by bus the next station is just two minutes away. I recommand this place if you want to go to Ann Arbor. I had a great time there. Thanks again, Bill and Tiffany, for great five weeks! And Ino please don't eat the stones....

  • I had the best time at Bill's and Tiffany's. They have a lovely home with a great guestroom and the cutest cat. Bill and Tiffany were extremely friendly and welcoming, they arranged everything, gave me all the infromation I needed. One of the nicest things was just sitting on the front porch drinking a coffee. Downtown Ann Arbor is only a short bike ride away, so I could get everywhere I wanted very quickly. I absolutely recommend this place. If I ever go back to Ann Arbor, this is where I'll try to stay.

My girlfriend and I are grad students at UM. She studies Public Health, and I'm work in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. We are avid bike riders / commuters. We live in a nice quiet place in Ann Arbor and we happen to have an extra room so we figured we'd toss it on here and see what happens...
