Interaction with Guests
We are a people oriented business and will do anything and everything we can to make our guests feel most comfortable.
We are about a mile from the quaint town of Wakefield , about half an hour drive from Newport, and about 45 minutes from Providence. We are also about 5 minutes from URI and have multiple beaches within a 10 minute drive.
Walking into town is safe and easy. There is a 7 mile bike path that runs straight through the town. Public transportation is not great so we recommend bringing a car.
While this is a business, it is also our home and we ask all guests to respect it. Thank you in advanced
Eden Manor is a large B&B/Inn - we are more familiar with airbnb situations in someone's house with one, maybe two rooms. We came in late, but had talked to Lloyd and he left us our room info, which we found with no problem. Eden Manor's common rooms are beautiful as indicated in the photos - as are the grounds which were green and spacious. We sat on the porch as we had our breakfast and talked to other guests. We never met Lloyd but his wife was friendly to everyone. So all of that was fine. Our disappointment was with our room, which had a very uncomfortable, soft bed and was hot, although a stand up fan helped a bit. As with B&Bs such as this, the important issue is the room one has!
We had a wonderful stay at Eden Manor. The estate grounds are beautiful and the home is so charming. We loved our room and our only regret is that our stay was so short.
The B&B is in a convenient location and we would love to stay here again when we're back in the area.
No frills no fuss and a pleasant host to boot - my girlfriend and I stayed one night, arriving late and leaving early so didn't get to experience breakfast or the amazing grounds in light but the room was well appointed and near the major roads to delicious calamari and a moonlit walk along Pt. Judith; quaint and happy (reasonably priced) NE B&B.
Classic B&B. Nice older home, nice family, beautiful property. They let our dog have a run for the first time in months! Enjoyed our stay.
