Interaction with Guests
I am always there for my guests. It is up to the guests how much time they want to spend with me. I do believe in giving my guests their space. I am usually up in the mornings to chat with my guests and give them any information they might need to start their day.
I love my neighborhood due to the privacy with the action just a short walk into town.
Getting around is very easy as this is a walking town. Taxi's are at everywhere. My guests take collectivos or the ADO bus to visit places like Tulum or go North towards Cancun.
Other Things to Note
Prices include 16% IVA.
No smoking in home but outside on terrace. Air conditioners found left on while room not occupied or windows open why a/c is on will forfeit some of the security deposit. $10.00 fee for a/c and $5.00 for half a day. I apologize if this sounds harsh but due to the high electrical costs in Mexico I must do this to keep my rates reasonable. I am a stickler for electricity and do my best to preserve energy. I am hoping my guests feel the same way I do. If guests request use of the kitchen from time to time I do ask that dishes be washed, dried and put away.
Cecile was very friendly and accommodating. We were provided with tons of tips for restaurant, places to visit and even beach chairs. Excellent choice by Cecile was to provide breakfast to stand out from other airbnb hosts in the area and to make it easy for us to start the day with fresh fruit, granola and coffee - we loved it!
For this short getaway, all we needed is a comfy bed, a place to shower and a kitchen to make a quick coffee in the morning - Cecile's place was perfect for that. She was usually around if we needed her and it didn't feel like she was in the way.
There was another guest staying during the same time and she was a wonderful person from Argentina - we enjoyed our chats in the mornings over coffee in Cecile's beautiful backyard overlooking a golf course.
Thanks for being a great host!
Just got back from our stay at Cecile's place and can't say enough about both her and the accommodations. We were warmly greeted by Cecile and she was so helpful with everything. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and we hit it off immediately. What a great Airbnb host!
This place sits in a beautiful gated neighborhood that is quiet, safe and located close to the beach, shopping, bus station, taxi stand, tours and anything else you might want to do in Playa Del Carmen. Our room was clean, bright and the bed comfortable. Her back yard is heaven. It is treed and looks onto the golf course and was a great place for relaxing, eating breakfast, watching the birds or hanging out on the hammock. Speaking of breakfast, every morning we had coffee, fresh juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola.......so much healthy food to start our day with. We look forward to staying there again on our next trip to Playa. Thank you so much Cecile!
Do you like a beautiful and peaceful fenced neighborhood (Playacar), full of trees, flowers and plants in a comfortable house with a spacious room with a private bathroom and at a very affordable price? Wake up in the morning at the singing of birds? Take your self prepare breakfast in the rear garden watching the golf course? Walk 5 minutes to Paseo del Carmen open shopping with brands like Zara, Pull and Bear, Lacoste, Benetton, Oysho and others? Take a 10 minute walk to the spacious beach (much better than the crowded downtown beaches) on a path across the mayan jungle and passing by mayan ruins? Have a nice and friendly host like Cecile? Ok don,t doubt it any more, this is the perfect spot for you. Me, my wife and daughter spent 15 marvelous days here. Thanks Cecile for receiving us in your home. Me, Lizete and Nicole love and miss you.
Cecile was very welcoming and friendly. The place was exactly as described, clean and tidy and very conveniently located. Thanks for having us Cecile :)
My sister and I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating host! Cecile, her home, and neighbors were wonderful. The house is very nice and the room with private bath was very comfortable. It is a perfect spot just 5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 to the center of town. I hope to return soon.
We really enjoyed staying in Cecile's house. We felt home. Cecile was very nice and kept giving us recommendations and advices. The place is very clean and quiet and the good thing it's a walking distance to 5th avenue. If I'm coming back to pdc I'll definite stay here!

About the Host, Cecile
I am a Canadian women fortunate enough to be living in what we all call "Our Paradise". I am only to happy to be able to share my home with tourists from all over the world who will come to love Playa del Carmen as myself. I have been a permanent resident of Playa since 2008 but have been coming here since 2006. I am very familiar with the area so can help you make the best choices in your tours and restaurants. I have friends in the tour industry that I wholeheartedly trust. Mind you keeping up with the ever changing restaurant scene can be a challenge. Always old ones closing and new ones opening. Playa is forever changing but change is good.
From time to time my home can be very social due to fellow Canadians visiting their homes in the complex. We are respectful of my guests but thought I should fore worn you, haha!
I will do everything in my power to make you comfortable in my home and I will hope you will leave with very good memories and want to return one day.
FYI! My home is gay friendly as I accept the gay community.
