It has open concept Kitchen/Dining/Living/Sun room with spectacular ocean views; 3 bedrooms; 2 baths; and a library/reading room with a double bed. The property is nicely landscaped with a gently sloping lawn to 240 ft. of bold oceanfront.

The space
The home is located in the village of Corea in the town of Gouldsboro, ME on the Schoodic Peninsula. This area is known for its "real Maine" feel. Nearby Corea Harbor is a working commercial harbor filled with lobster boats. The Schoodic section of Acadia National Park is just a 10-minute drive away. Bar Harbor is approximately a 1-hour drive. There are a few local shops and restaurants, but the overall feel of the area is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of other tourist towns.

The home sleeps 8 people with the possibility of more. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed. Second bedroom has an antique brass full sized bed. The third bedroom has two twin beds. There is a reading room/library off the master bedroom with a pocket door for privacy that has an additional double bed. Two couches are readily available in the living room/sun room. Additionally, for young visitors there is a pack and play that can be set up.

You will want to spend some time exploring the grounds. Enjoy a fire in the outside fire pit, explore the intertidal seashore, or just sit and enjoy the beauty of nature at its finest.

Guests will have complete and sole access to cottage and one acre property.

Other things to note
Check out time is promptly on or before 10am on day of departure. The cleaning crew may arrive anytime after 10am and begin cleaning the cottage. This time is needed to ensure a thorough cleaning.

Your host, Josh, grew up on Schoodic Peninsula. He and his wife Megan purchased the property in the spring of 2019. Josh and Megan live in nearby Bangor but enjoy spending time on the Schoodic Peninsula to connect with family and relax. Rentals are co-managed by Josh's sister, Crystal, who lives in the neighboring village of Birch Harbor.

Hello, I'm Josh. I enjoy both hosting and traveling with my wife Megan and our two young children. We live in Bangor, Maine where I practice as a nurse practitioner. I grew up in Downeast Maine on the Schoodic Peninsula. Megan's family is from Western Maine. We are fortunate own properties in both locations and look forward to sharing those properties with guests. Shore Haven is a well-equipped four bedroom home in Corea, Maine we use as a vacation house when we are not hosting guests. Jewett Pond Retreat is a humble structure in the western foothills of Waterford, Maine where we enjoy hosting guests to want to be one with nature with a few comforts of home. While we love our state, we love to travel to warmer climates in the cooler months.
