About this listing

Light and high-ceilinged, 3 large bedrooms, enormous sitting room and great kitchen for parties! Beautiful decoration in atmospheric old building - it is a typical Budapest building of the 20's era, like a Hungarian cake - brooding and dark on the exterior, light and lovely on the inside. The flat is on the 3rd floor with lift.
Wifi, central heating, cleaning by arrangement, collection from airport by arrangement, little Budapest guide tailored to your needs, welcome pack.
There is someone on call if you need anything or need advice
It's a really perfect spot for just 'living' and exploring. The river bus goes to a cool little beach up river, the 19 tram to the gellert baths with the huge indoor market just over the bridge opposite. There are great cafés like the Angelika to watch the world go by, easy shopping, but all in a non rushed low traffic way.
Everything from Batthany Tér, including the little Train to Szentendre and if you're so inclined, to the Sziget festival!
All bed linen, towels, soap etc are provided. Also washing machine, dishwasher, iron if you want to be domestic!
Just be the polite thoughtful people you are! The building has a lot of elderly people who like to keep tabs on what happens. Occasionally there have been groups whose excitement has been very loud or spilled out onto the outside courtyard. Then I get mutterings and complaints. So a little thoughtfulness and quietness in public areas is much appreciated.
You are welcome to food/coffee etc you find on the shelves. If you feel like leaving something nice for the next guests to find, that is a bonus!
If anything does get broken or damaged-it happens- please replace it if you can, or just let me know and we'll sort it.
You are welcome to take the towels to the baths and even more welcome to bring them back...
I am a clinical psychologist working at St Mary's, a big London hospital where the Royal family like to have their babies! I was born in Hungary but brought up in England and live near Oxford from where I have several degrees. I like to write, travel and gaze at the sea.
