'Eagles Perch', a piece of paradise, is nestled up into a hill 10 minutes drive west of Coolum Beach in Yandina Creek (central Sunshine Coast). You will need your own car as there is no public transport. Set on one and a half acres it is surrounded by Eucalyptus forest, native flora and fauna. Birdsong abounds here. "Eagles Perch" is a true coastal getaway boasting panoramic views to the Pacific Ocean.
Spend days exploring the local array of gorgeous bays, beaches and restaurants ... or simply sit back, enjoy a drink, and watch the stars twinkle. Everything you need is a close by, for instance, within 20 minutes drive you can reach the Noosa National Park, the Eumundi Markets, the Sunshine Coast Airport, shopping plazas, movies, etc. Woolworths supermarket is a seven minute drive away.
My house is architecturally designed, it's open and contemporary in its feel. The house won a first prize for sustainable and environmental design. This is an eco house that collects its own rainwater and reticulates its own waste. My little dog Miley lives here too. My bedroom is on the other side of the house which insures privacy and space for all. In between these private spaces exists an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area.
I have two lovely bedrooms available, each with sliding glass doors opening onto a deck that overlooks the coast to the ocean. A private bathroom services your accommodation and one or two bedroom options are available, sleeping four people comfortably in total. Basic breakfast ingredients, tea and coffee are provided for your convenience as well as linen and towels. Austar television is hooked up. There is no cable for home internet, but wireless mobile broadband coverage is exceptionally good.
So whether its total relaxation, or adventure that you crave, this place has it all!!
I look forward to meeting you and am sure your stay at 'Eagles Perch' is both relaxing and soul inspiring.
You will have private access to your bedroom/s and bathroom. The shared kitchen, lounge, dining and laundry are airy and well appointed.
Interaction with Guests
Where possible, you will be personally greeted by your host, who will assist with any recommendations for great local attractions.
This neighbourhood is quiet and rural. Neighbours are not close by and allotments are acreage. Peace and quiet prevail!
My favourite restaurant "The Spirit House" is famous in the culinary world and is only 15 minutes drive in nearby Yandina.
You will need your own transport, as public transport is not available.
Music is fine, just moderate the volume after 9pm. Please always use cutting boards to prepare food, and don't cut on the benchtops. Smoking is okay outside the main house. Basically, just display common courtesy and cleanliness please. Remember this property is reliant on tank water so please be mindful of water conservation. As this property reticulates its own waste, please be aware not to introduce foreign matter such as sanitary items, oils, grease or dairy into the biocycle.
This was a beautiful, quiet space tucked into the hill. The view is magnificent!
Very quiet at night.
I had the best sleeps and and the room is tucked away on the other side of the house for privacy. The bathroom is really nice and new.
Its only 15 mins or so to the coffee shops and beach at Coolum which is perfect.
Miley the dog is quite cute and real treasure to have around.
The water is pure rain water and such a blessing.
Great spot to explore the Sunshine Coast away from the busy beaches. The house is basic and comfortable, not as luxurious as it looks in the photos. Miley the dog was very friendly and quite a character.
The photos of my home are legitimate, sorry Annette that I take a decent shot. My home was never described as "luxurious". For $168 for two bedrooms, for two nights, I believe I provide great value. My towels are washed with "liquid softly". Sorry they were too stiff for your taste. As a host I am friendly, but always give my guests as much space and privacy as I feel they require, on an intuitive level. In saying this I did have some serious personal issues regarding my daughter when you stayed that I preferred not to burden you with. Hopefully you will have a much better experience on your second airbnb adventure!! Best luck to you and Gil.
This was my first experience staying at an airbnb so I wasn't too sure what to expect. We found Tony to be a warm & welcoming host, who was available but not intrusive. The property & the views exceeded our expectations. This is a very comfortable home located close to the beach & a number of activities, but far enough away to offer a peaceful haven.
We spent a very pleasurable & entertaining first night on the lounge with Tony listening to music & showing off our dance moves!
We would highly recommend this property.
Eagles Perch was the perfect place for my friend & I to study & do some business planning. So peaceful & private. Such a stunning view to inspire great ideas! Tony was so welcoming & approachable. He was also very respectful of our use of the shared living space. I loved the close proximity to Coolum Beach as well.
Lovely and clean house with amazing views over the valley (you can even hear and see the ocean when it's not cloudy). Tony was a lovely host with interesting conversation and at the same time gave us a lot of space for ourselves.
Tony was a great host. The house was beautiful and we had a very relaxing weekend. Everything we needed was supplied and the dog Miley was great company.
We had a great stay at Tony's place. The house is charming, perched on a hill with great views of the countryside. Tony is welcoming and very friendly.
