About this listing

Longest-running, most-reviewed Airbnb rental in Laramie. My updated midcentury is five blocks to University of Wyoming east campus, two blocks to UW shuttle, half mile to Green Ride shuttle stop, and just over one mile to American Heritage Center.

The space

*Please note: during the summer months (June-August), I only accept reservations for a minimum of four nights.*

On Laramie's east side, nestled between two parks, my three bedroom, one bath mid-century home is within walking distance to the university, restaurants, and a major grocery store. Enjoy easy access to I-80 and recreation at Happy Jack and Curt Gowdy. As an independent working professional, I will provide you plenty of privacy. Be sure to check out my guidebook for food, drink and recreation suggestions.

Please note that I have a dog - a young, exceptionally friendly female cattle dog mix who will wish to make friends with you. I generally do not accept travelers with pets (sorry! I know it's tough traveling with animals!) but in some cases I'll make an exception. Feel free to check with me if you're traveling with a buddy in tow.

Come visit us in the Laramie Valley, and experience one of the Rocky Mountain West's best kept secrets.

Courtney's place is charming and super comfortable! Close to the University of Wyoming as well as downtown Laramie, which is a quaint and peaceful place. I was so comfortable throughout my stay and Courtney was more than willing to accommodate me and answer any questions I had.

Courtney is a well-established Airbnb host who has experience making her guests feel comfortable and welcomed. She has created an environment in which guests can easily work, rest, cook, and go about their days. Courtney is a great conversationalist and has great knowledge about the Laramie area. She had great recommendations for food and places to visit. She was also genuinely interested in our comfort and needs. Osa bear, her adorable dog, is super friendly and welcoming of newcomers. Overall, this Airbnb was a great experience, we would definitely stay here again.

Courtney's house is awesome! She has clean, inviting spaces that made me feel at home. While I did not get to meet Courtney, I am sure we would have been friends. I loved that she left tea out, provided bikes for getting around town if you'd like, and left a variety of shampoos and conditioners. The house was exactly as the listing makes it seem, and it was in easy walking distance of the university. Courtney even gave me a recommendation of where to eat.

Courtney met us at the door and we appreciated the access to the kitchen and front room in addition to the room. It was also easy to come and go. Location was great with easy access to University campus and close by parks for walking.

If you're looking for a circle of quiet, check out Courtney's place in Laramie. This was the perfect spot for me to work on my book. The house is very peaceful to work and relax in and Courtney is a wonderful, helpful host who made me feel very much at home. She gave me good tips on how to get around and let me know I could text or call her at any time if I had questions. The house is near the university, in a great walking neighborhood, and next to a gorgeous park on the plains. I highly recommend this spot for creatives and contemplatives wanting to experience a slower pace for a few days.

I'm Laramie's "oldest" host and I really enjoy being a part of the Airbnb community, as both host and guest. I grew up in Wisconsin, and made Wyoming my home eight years ago. Here I am a professor in the School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming. I love to travel, to spend time outdoors in our beautiful mountains, and I adore teaching.
