The house was beautiful and homey, the area was stunning as well as relaxing. The hosts were very welcoming and nice and I enjoyed hanging out with them and the manga room! Definitely would love to come back one day. Even the other guests staying there were nice

Nodokeya was a wonderful place to stay during our trip! It was a little confusing to find, but it was easily accessible to a wide variety of shops and stores. We only stayed for 2 nights, but I wish it could have been longer! The sights are beautiful and the people are friendly-- it is a gorgeous excuse to get away from the more touristy destinations and experience an authentic, quieter part of Japan on the beautiful island of Shikoku.

A peaceful and enjoyable stay at Nodokeya. Shibata and Michiyu were very kind hosts, inviting me to dinner with their friends on the first night of my stay. Quite understandably, they are busy these days taking care of a newborn baby - I was impressed that they could still have the energy to make me feel welcome like that. Their friends were very kind and hospitable. I was so happy to be connected up with local folks so that I could find and take some great art classes nearby. The free bike rentals at the local tourist center (available daily 8:30am-5pm) were handy for exploring the Anabuki River. Shibata gave me a ride to the train station on the first and last days, but for daytrips, I found the walk between Nodokeya and Anabuki Station very pleasant. It is about 40 minutes on foot and you can take a pedestrian/bike path almost the entire way. Just follow the path on top of the riverside dike from the MiniStop convenience store to the pedestrian bridge. The bridge crosses the river and ends right in front of the station. Perfect!

Staying at Nodokeya was an excellent experience! The host was warm and friendly, and we felt very welcomed at their place. The room was cozy and very Japanese. Nodokeya is located right next to a very historical street in the town, so we could walk around there. We also enjoyed talking to other guests. Thank you so much for everything!

There are too many nice things to say about Yoshi and Michi. They made us feel at home with their kind hospitality. After staying at Nodokeya for about a week, we never seemed to have a dull day. Whether we were meeting locals in Wakimachi or going somewhere with Yoshi and Michi, there was always a kind, welcoming feeling.

Near the traditional plaice called “udatsu”.its close to go there. And the room is very Japanese style. The wall is too think and don’t have lock. But I’m enjoying that.
