A rather untruthful review Michael. Yes, unfortunately there was work taking place on the exterior of the building during the day time which I had not been made aware of previously and which was only for a small duration of the time of your stay. I appreciate this was not ideal and I was indeed very sorry for the inconvenience it caused you and I apologised to you but I do not understand what more you expected me to do about it other than to offer you compensation to make up for the inconvenience. Unfortunately I was not able to stop the work from happening. The whole building was having new cladding plastered on to it and they were only outside the window while they completed the work around the window. Other than offering you compensation (which you refused) and apologising, what else could I have done? You falsely claim I did not address your complaints until after a few days - this is untrue and if you check through our message trail it is clear you made your complaints on the evening of 25 Aug and I replied the very next day even though I was travelling overseas at the time. I do completely understand this inconvenienced you and if there was more I could have done then I would have gladly done it. I believe the complensation I offered you was very generous and Airbnb agreed. It may not have been quite the 50% you were demanding but Airbnb agreed this was excessive. I am truly sorry it marred your stay but I have to ask myself, if it affected you as much as you claim then why did you return to stay at the apartment 10 days later for another week? If it was as 'unbearable' as you said then why return?
Whether you believe it or not, Michael, I am sincerely saddened that your stay was not as pleasant as it should have been but I am also disappointed that you felt the need to write some dishonest comments.
