We are a quiet western style home in a quiet section of Port au Prince, about 20 minutes from the airport, called Delmas 75. We host single guests & families, but many people staying here are small to medium sized mission teams who work with specific children's homes or Haitian ministries. After spending some long days, our guests have told us that they look forward to the welcoming respite they enjoy at this, their home-away-from-home! Please enjoy the photos giving a better picture of MFGH.

The space
Both a healthy "western" Breakfast and a hearty Haitian Dinner are included in our price. Our head chef Mdm Serge, and also her assistant, Mdm Joe, our fresh juice maker receive many, and sincere accolades from almost every guest that I have met in my 5 1/2 years of enjoying this place, my home in Haiti. Jean is our Father's Guest House Gatekeeper, Security, Landscaper, and Maintenance Man and he receives many, MANY compliments on his friendliness and beautiful grounds outside our home. Mdm Rosma, our dedicated housekeeper, receives an equal amount of compliments on the cleanliness and comfortable beauty of the inside of our Father's Guest House!

Where you’ll be

Port-au-Prince, Ouest, Haiti

We love our location on Rue Dahlia between the neighborhoods of Delmas 75 and Puits Blain, because it's a short walk to "TLC Barefoot Christian Grade School"; "Apparent Project/Papillion"; and "Quisqueya Chapel". "His Home for Children" is a bit farther, but we also offer a commuting service of dropping our guests off and picking them up again, for very reasonable prices. We accomplish this in our own version of a "taptap" or our 15 passenger Ford Van.

During your stay

I am here almost 100% of the time that our guests are here. My coworkers and I restock our supplies of Supermarket groceries, and pure bottled drinking WATER, in addition to street markets, (which sell us the best of the local fresh vegetables and fruit), ..... while our guests are out accomplishing their daily missions, tasks, and schedules.
