Located in the East Cesar Chavez neighborhood. East Cesar Chavez is one of the oldest neighborhood's in Austin (our home was built in 1909). This area is very hip/trendy and is conveniently located near many attractions, restaurants and bars. Lady Bird Lake (AKA Town Lake) and the hike and bike trail are 6 blocks from the house. The Rainey St and East Sixth St areas are also within walking distance.
Historic Sixth St is approximately 1.3 miles from the house and can be reached on foot or via a short (less than $10) cab or Uber ride. Other popular Austin destinations, such as the UT Football Stadium, Zilker Park (ACL Music Festival Venue), the Capitol, Circuit of the Americas (F1 Race Track), can also be reached with a quick, inexpensive cab or Uber.
Bradley's house was so comfy and well located. Morning runs by the beautiful river are just 10 min away, at the same time downtown Austin and SXSW events are just 15 min walking. Or 3 min ubering =). We were 4 and the house was a perfect fit.
We enjoyed visiting this cute bungalow! The kitchen in stocked with every utensil one can imagine, which is perfect for staying in and cooking. The beds were comfortable and the host provided us with wine and beer. Close to Downtown which was great for getting over to the starting line of the marathon quickly. A bit of a stroll to coffee and restaurants but totally manageable.
My wife and I had a great time in Austin, and it's partially because of Bradley and Lindsay's place.
They were very friendly and supportive from day 1. the house has the perfect size for 2 couples, although we were here alone. all very clean and with plenty of kitchenware for cooking.
Location is great, it's only 5min to downtown, 20 to the airport and 25 to circuit of the Americas (if that's what brings you to Austin).
thanks for everything, guys!
We stayed at Bradley and Lindsay’s home for a weekend and truly enjoyed ourselves. The home is as it appears in the pictures posted. We felt very welcome as soon as we entered; it was clean and extremely comfortable. The house is well situated in E Austin, close to a variety of shops and restaurants that were easy to get to. The neighborhood is very cute and pleasant to walk around. It is worth noting that this home worked well for two couples. Would recommend to friends!
We rented this house for two nights, THE best 2 nights in Austin. The location of the house was perfect, minutes away by car from Rainey street and 6th street. The house was beautiful, cozy and very spacious. The hosts are very nice and available for any question or doubts you have. Our experience wouldn't be the same without this house and the good times we spent in there. Highly recommended!
We had a great stay at Bradley and Lindsay's home. Their house was in a great spot for going out and staying in. We were also warmly welcomed with a bottle of wine and some cold beer in the fridge. There is plenty of room for two couples and we highly recommend it!
I had a great weekend in Austin. The house was exactly as depicted in the photos. It really felt like a home away from home with comfy beds, open kitchen and plenty of outdoor seating. The location was amazing. East Austin offers many great restaurants and bars, and this home was a reasonable walking distance. Bradley and Lindsay were very helpful. They answered all questions and were always quick to respond. Thanks Bradley and Lindsay!
About the Host, Bradley And Lindsay
Lindsay and I have been happily married for four years. I'm an engineer and she moonlights as a speech pathologist. We both graduated from The University of Texas and have been fortunate to make Austin our home. We absolutely love this city. We also love our Texas Longhorns and have been football season ticket holders for many years. Our passion is good food and drink and we love to share both with close friends.
