Other Things to Note
Complimentary Tea, coffee and mineral water.
Extra food available on request - the best local cuisine in town!
Not too many.....please do not take the towels out of the house.
When in Asia use a sarong on the beach - it dries quicker and a towel becomes cumbersome.
The kitchen is for general use, so please keep it tidy and clean.
Same with the terrace and communal areas - be kind to your environment and smile a lot!!
We had an amazing time at Belinda's place! First, her communication and help with helping to coordinate our arrival was extraordinary. Although she doesn't live there, she has people in Sri Lanka who helped up get from the airport to her listing. Once we arrived we were a bit hesitant, not realizing that it was what I would call an "open air" concept like something you might find in Costa Rica. It's a bit rustic in that sense, but if you can't handle a few bugs then you shouldn't be traveling to Sri Lanka in the first place. Her place is kept by the neighbors, Kumara and Chamila, who will cook for you for a VERY small fee. We had them cook for us (a group of 9) every single day. They are FABulous cooks and hosts, using herbs from the yard to cook the most amazing curries! Our group grew so close to them that many tears were shed when we left... If you want to 'Live like a local" in Sri Lanka, this is the place!

Having had a very busy life - now starting to call down a bit..... sort of.
I have four grown up kids who have taken over my life for a long time - and I have been running a busy production company in Spain for many years.
My favourite pass-times are traveling and food. When at my place you will eat well, for sure.
I want to make it special when you come and stay - I appreciate constructive criticism .
I love quirky people - love sudden spurts of madness and letting my hair down, but am quite calm and responsible most of the time . If there is a live concert it will take me out and i will probably be the last one home, but otherwise I don't go out much.
I am one to mix in with the locals and love the local food and markets - will spend hours chatting and finding out more - I help a charity in Hikkaduwa called Manacare - they do great things - I just give them my love and help a little if i can.
I love to read - real life experiences - travel books - all about Asia.
I am a bit of an artist and love all form of art - from photography, to painting , though fabric design and interior design and recently have been making 'mandalas' which I find very therapeutic.
My motto: smile and be happy and dont interfere in how others lead their lives - we are all different!
