Comfy bed for better sleep

Beautiful serene 2015 home one mile from Ichetucknee State Park! Also close to Ginnie, Blue, Poe, Royal, and Little River Springs. Step outside with your coffee and enjoy the wooded neighborhood and river views/access. Large screened porch and well appointed open kitchen perfect for cooking. The house is elevated which creates a separate covered outdoor area with hammocks and a full second bathroom. Perfect cozy space for a couples retreat! Treehouse as an add on for extra guests.

The space
Our peaceful retreat is perfectly situated for floating this crystal clear river among the otters, manatees (seasonal), and turtles.

We think our place is best enjoyed as a couples retreat, but it can accommodate larger groups. The "third bedroom" is a finished "Tree house" in the back yard that you can rent in addition to the house if you have a larger party or want more privacy. We do not rent it out on it's own, so you won't have strangers in your back yard! It is tiny, but has a queen bed, ceiling fan, window A/C unit, electric heater, and great light. There is not a bathroom, so you will have to walk down the short path to the downstairs bathroom (not heated). We typically charge $40 a night for the treehouse, just let us know when you request to book.

We do not allow partiers, as sound travels and disrupts our neighbors. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and we try to keep the essentials on hand. The house is relatively small (700 square feet of air conditioned and heated space) , but the open design and ample outdoor living space (large screened in porch and whole open under story) will allow everyone to find a nook for relaxing! There is wifi and a 40 inch TV with a Chromecast and Blue Ray/DVD player (no cable).

We have a small charcoal grill. There is a fire pit and there are several places that sell firewood on SR 27, and we sometimes have some on site.

Since our place is so new and nicely furnished, we don't always rent to families with young children. Please ask though, because we also understand how special of a place it is for kids to experience with adult supervision! We have a $100 security deposit (you only pay if there is an issue like having to professionally clean rugs, couches, etc.). We know you will love our place as much as we do!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole house, the outdoor living area under the raised house, and the one acre yard. There is a finished tree house that serves as the third bedroom that is available for $40/night if you have a larger group or want more privacy. It is more rustic than the house and you should not be too surprised to find a lizard on the windowsill!

Other things to note
We do not rent the treehouse out to other groups, so it will just be your group on the property. We sometimes need to stop by to grab something out of the shed, but always give guests notice.

We love walking in the Three Rivers Estates neighborhood where the cabin is located, as the forest is gorgeous and full of wildlife. Walk to one of the 5 parks which you will have river access through!

The Ichetucknee State Park is only one mile away and includes more breathtaking spots for swimming, tubing, paddling, and hiking. The cottage is nestled in the Springs Heartland with Ginnie Springs (private park with over 7 springs and miles of riverfront), Blue Springs State Park, and Poe Springs a short 15 minute drive near the art community of High Springs. While you are there enjoy dinner and live music at the Great Outdoors Café. Gainesville is an easy 45 minute drive along wilflower lined country roads and has everything a college town can offer from theater to festivals.
