Our lovely family summer house is situated in Nikiti, literally at a stone's throw distance from the sea. It's a two-storey house that comfortably accommodates up to 7 people, even 8 people (including kids) may sleep here using the extra available mattresses.
On the ground floor is the living room with two sofas (a 2-seater & 3-seater one), a coffee-table, the fireplace and detached to it is a fully functional and equipped kitchen. You may find everything you need there for your cooking preferences, lots of kitchen appliances to assist you, table-clothes and all kinds of pots, utensils, pans, bowls, plates ... thanks to our mother's desire. For your own comfort there is also a small WC.
Following the warm wooden steps you get on the second floor where is a bathroom with a washing machine and a large shower cabin. Next to it is a fully furnished master bedroom with double bed, drawers and a closet, and another bedroom with semi-double bed and chest of drawers. Both bedrooms have access to the balcony with the astonishing view over the sea. The second bedroom is also connected to mezzanine, a wooden stair takes you up to a large luminous attic, which can easily provide extra accommodation for three to four people. Attic is warmly decorated and windows on the roof offer magical view to the stars while lying on the large comfortable mattresses.
Outdoors, next to the kitchen there is a large patio providing seats and table for 8 people. This where we usually dine with unbreakable view over the sea. Under the bench you may find sun-umbrella, folding sand-chairs and sun-beds, as well as snorkeling equipment. In front of you is a small lovely garden and enough grass area to place the sunbeds. Outdoor shower is also available for your convenience and much other stuff that you might need during your vacation time.
Nikiti is located at the entrance of Sithonia peninsula and is one of the major tourist destinations in the area. The place has a history of continuous inhabitation for more than three thousand years. (website hidden), mentions the city of Galepsus in between Torone and Sermyle. Modern archaeological evidence suggests that Galepsus was probably located in between Castri cape and Agios Ioannis (Ai-Yiannis) beach, about 2.5 km from Nikiti. Later, during the Roman and early Byzantine periods, there was a lively settlement in Agios Georgios area on Nikiti beach. an early christian basilica, one of the oldest and most important found in Northern Greece, is what is left from this settlement.
The first written evidence about the name “Nikiti” is found in the archives of Xenophon monastery in Mt. Athos, early 14th century AD. The archives mention the land of “Neakitou” from which “Nikiti” is believed to have derived. After the fall of the Byzantine Empire in 1453, the area was conquered by the Ottomans until 1912 when Halkidiki joined the Greek state after a successful war against the Turks.
Today, Nikiti is a thriving town and local economy is mainly based on tourism and beekeeping, a traditional activity that dates back to the Byzantine times. The main attractions are the traditional village, the ancient Basilica of Sofronios, the church of Agios Nikitas and of course the beautiful beaches around Nikiti.
The town of Nikiti offers a variety of restaurants, tavernas, gyros places, large supermarkets (Masoutis & Lidl) or local grocery and butcher stores, banks, ATMs, pharmacies-drug stores, and numerous other shops for beach apparel and accessories, souvenirs, bicycle rental etc. The main health centre of this peninsula is in Agios Nikolaos, only 11km away.
Enjoy your stay at our house and in Halkidiki in general.

Great place and great hosts! the house is really wonderful. it is very tastefully furnished. you can look at the breakfast to the sea and tina & nicolas have provided fresh bread and something to eat for the first days. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We had wonderful days in nikiti and can only recommend it
Everything OK. The host left some food for the first days and the house is completely equipped (everything you need is there). Internet was not working at the time, but they offered the WLAN of the neighbours (I did not needed it but he offered it).
The house is in a good place, very near to the beach and in a quiet place (not bars or restaurants near, 5 min walk) so no annoying noise in the evenings.
The beach in front of the house is good, a family beach ideal for children (you have to walk a lot to let the water cover you) and the water crystal clear. Because Nikiti is at the end of the bay between Kassandra and Sithonia the sea water is very salty (in case someone has problem with this this), we had no problem with that.
Nikolas summer house in Nikiti is good equipped, comfortable, and well located. Own garden with shower and a grill is something we used with the kids every day, and made us lots of pleasure. Best is if you are with a car, than you can access other beaches on the peninsula.
Hosts are very gentle, house in Nikiti nicely decorated, and very clean. Nicolas left food and drink for couple of days which is very nice. A beach is just across the street which can be useful but it's not the most beautiful beach on Sithonia. We were using our car a lot to discover Sithonia and it's hidden beaches...
