This well-situated loft in the heart of South Beach's lively tech and entertainment district is located off a low traffic side street. With 15 ft ceilings and expansive windows, this light and airy 906 sq ft space is well-suited for 1, 2 or 4.
When we were looking at several spaces during our house hunt, this live/work loft space's tall ceilings and light plus close proximity to a small local park really made this place stand out from the rest. With 15 foot (4.5 meters) ceilings and 906 square feet (84 square meters), this space can sleep two in the queen size regular bed in the upper loft, plus two more down on main level in a queen sofa-bed (also known as a pull-out bed; the mattress in the sofa bed was upgraded with a memory foam mattress in September 2014; an aero bed is also provided. It can be placed on the pull-out frame for enhanced comfort). Like all true lofts, the upper level is partially open to the level below. Located in a small live/work building, it's located off a major street on a small, one way side street. It's used as our pied-a-terre, so there's plenty of room to stretch out, stash your stuff and make yourself at home. There's a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, new stainless steel appliances, a covered patio, a work desk, and dining for four. There's a full bath with tub on the lower level, and a half bath in the upper.
Some dates reserved for us are negotiable, so please ask if you a need to bridge a time period.
The guest will have access to wireless internet and in-building fast, high capacity commercial-grade laundry. As the unit does not come with parking, a pay-parking lot is available just down the block. A TV and BluRay are available. An iron, ironing board and hair dryer are provided. The kitchen includes a full-sized fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There is an elevator in the building.

This neighborhood, which is at the western end of South Beach near South Park (adjacent to Yuerba Buena/Mission Bay, considered part of greater SOMA) has a little bit for everyone, from foodies to sports fans to people on business or attending conferences at Moscone. The former industrial neighborhood has been redeveloped into residences, restaurants, entertainment venues, offices, and live/work units. Located within a few blocks is AT&T Park (SF Giants), the SF Museum of Modern Art, the Moscone Center, the waterfront, bars, clubs, sporting activities, grocery stores, parks and everything from small cafes to Michelin-starred restaurants. Offices of some of the leading names in the online/app world are nearby. A slightly longer walk or short ride will take you to the SF Ferry Building, world-class shopping at Union Square, live music venues, and the design district. It's little wonder that this is now one of San Francisco's most popular neighborhoods for eating, living, working and playing.
There's convenient access to three subway/tram lines (two blocks), train (two blocks), and local buses (one block). Two major freeway ramps are within a 1/2 mile (1 km) of the home. Zip Cars (short term car sharing) are available at the end of the street and a new bike sharing station is about a block away.

Paul has been a fantastic host, providing everything we needed, even more (towels, shampoo, bed sheets). The loft is extremely clean and is perfectly livable for four people. The location is central, 10 minutes walking from Moscone centre, and it is very quiet. Furthermore, Paul provided information about restaurants, buses, bike rental and he is really happy to give all the information that you need. Highly recommended!
Stylish loft apartment, happening urban neighbourhood. Very comfortable and convenient, highly recommended.
This was a great place. Located in the heart of the city. It was also very clean.
Great stay, convenient location, beautiful unit, super easy to work with the hosts.
Had a fantastic stay in SF! Apartment was perfect for our family of 4. Place was clean and great location for the events at the Moscone Center. Bed was super comfy and Emily was very easy to work with. No problems with TV that others mentioned but couldn't get the Blu-Ray to work, but that did not detract from the stay at all.
Prior to my showing up, Paul was very responsive and helpful, answering all of the questions I had. He is accommodating and easy to work with. His place is very nice, clean, ideally located, and the photos are 100% accurate.
The one complaint I have is that right across the street is some sort of trash compacting business. They seem to do their work between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 in the morning. The beeping of backing up tracks, the sound machines, and the crashes of dumpsters do not make for a good night's sleep. This was exacerbated because it was especially warm when I was in SF and I had several windows open.
I would definitely consider staying in Paul's loft again if it were cold outside, or if that business moves to some other part of town. It marred what was otherwise a very nice visit.
