About this listing
This well-situated loft in the heart of South Beach's lively tech and entertainment district is located on a low-traffic side street. With 15 ft ceilings and expansive windows, this light and airy 906 sq ft space is well-suited for 1 or 2+.
When we were looking at several spaces during our house hunt, this live/work loft space's tall ceilings and light plus close proximity to a small local park really made this place stand out from the rest. With 15 foot (4.5 meters) ceilings and 906 square feet (84 square meters), this space can sleep up to two in the queen size regular bed in the upper loft, plus two more down on main level in a queen sofa-bed (also known as a pull-out bed; the mattress in the sofa bed was upgraded with a memory foam mattress in September 2014; an aero bed is also provided. It can be placed on the pull-out frame for enhanced comfort). Like all true lofts, the upper level is partially open to the level below. Located in a small live/work building, it's located off a major street on a small, one way side street. There are only 8 units in the building and we have storage elsewhere, so there is plenty of room to stretch out, stash your stuff and make yourself at home. There's a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, (new in 2014) stainless steel appliances, a covered patio, a work desk, and dining for four. There's a full bath with tub on the lower level, and a half bath in the upper.
Note: Through 12/31/15 we've reached our annual limit of stays under the SF Short Term Rental regulations. Check for our monthly availability. Of course, we're free to book throughout 2016 as we're flexible with our availability.

The guest will have access to wireless internet and in-building fast, high capacity commercial-grade laundry. As the unit does not come with parking, a pay-parking lot is available just down the block. A TV, cable TV, Apple TV and BluRay are available. An iron, ironing board and hair dryer are provided. The kitchen includes a full-sized fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, immersion blender, Nespresso machine, coffee grinder and coffee maker. There is an elevator in the building.

This neighborhood, which is at the western end of South Beach near South Park (adjacent to Yuerba Buena/Mission Bay, considered part of greater SOMA) has a little bit for everyone, from foodies to sports fans to people on business or attending conferences at Moscone. The former industrial neighborhood has been redeveloped into residences, restaurants, entertainment venues, offices, and live/work units. Former warehouses have been converted into lofts and high-tech offices. Located within a few blocks are AT&T Park (SF Giants), the SF Museum of Modern Art, the Moscone Center, the waterfront, bars, clubs, sporting activities, grocery stores, parks and everything from small cafes to Michelin-starred restaurants. Offices of some of the leading names in the online/app world are nearby. A slightly longer walk or short ride will take you to the SF Ferry Building, world-class shopping at Union Square, live music venues, and the SF design district. It's little wonder that this is now one of San Francisco's most popular neighborhoods for eating, living, working and playing.
There's convenient access to three subway/tram lines (two blocks), train (two blocks), and local buses (one block). Two major freeway ramps are within a 1/2 mile (1 km) of the home. Zip Cars (short term car sharing) are available at the end of the street and a new bike sharing station is about a block away.
