When you walk through the barn doors, you feel like you've stepped into the adventurous West. There are several paintings and prints on the wall of local artists and several western books for you to peruse. Come and enjoy the allure of the West at our casita located in the barn beside our home.

The gathering room is large with a seating area, dining table, and kitchen with island. It is adorned with decorations that give you a true taste of West Texas. The bathroom is large and beautifully decorated with Mexican tile, an antique door and bench for dressing. The bathroom has a spacious walk in shower, but a bathtub is not included.
Our Casita is in a quiet, family neighborhood built on the top of the canyon in Canyon Country Club. For this reason, we ask that you keep noise level low, especially after 10 p.m. Our neighborhood has a semi-private 9 hole golf course, which you are welcome to book for a tee time. We have a golf cart for your use if you would like to go down the hill to the pro shop. The canyon is home to a lot of wildlife including deer, turkey, owls and much more. We are 5 minutes from West Texas A&M University (and welcome family of the students), and the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum (the largest in Texas). Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest canyon in the United States and has many hiking and mountain biking trails for the outdoor enthusiast, and it’s just a quick 20 minute drive from our place. The musical, TEXAS, is also at Palo Duro Canyon and runs from June to August. The square in Canyon is only minutes away and has several fantastic restaurants such as, Sayakomarn’s, The Imperial Taproom, Joe Taco, Barrel and Pie, Recreation, and the Rockin’ Zebra Soda Shoppe. We are also 20 minutes from Amarillo which has lots more restaurants like the well-known Big Texan, and activities like Amarillo Art Museum, Symphony, and Ballet, the historic Route 66, the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum, Wonderland, Cadillac Ranch and the new SodPoodles AAA baseball team.
We have a playground for children to play supervised by parents, and a tandem bicycle upon request. You will be welcomed with snacks and a few drinks, but also by our golden retriever, Sadie. She loves visitors! We want you to enjoy your time here, capture the sunsets and sunrises, relax and spend some time in the Panhandle.
