Seeblick Haus is a small vacation home for 4 people on a secluded site in Northport. The open floor plan of the house is designed around the natural setting and orientation of the site and facilitates a 270 degree view of Grand Traverse bay and the surrounding orchards. Large windows offer the experience to be close to nature through all seasons and a continuous porch wrapping around the house extends the living space to the outdoors during the warmer months.

The space
Located on a 12-acre lot, Seeblick Haus features a contemporary modernist cabin with amazing views, outdoor space with a wrap-around porch, new appliances, internet with wifi and an indoor wood burning stove. Very peaceful, quiet and private.

The space comfortably sleeps 4 people, with one queen bed in the master bedroom, one queen bed in the guest bedroom and a queen bed in the den. The master bedroom offers a soaking tub, two sinks and a rain shower while the guest bathroom has a small sink and large rain shower.
Fully equipped kitchen includes convection oven, gas cooktop with downdraft, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, two stainless steel sinks and all items to create a meal for family and friends.

This is a newly built home that was completed in the summer 2019. It is fully functional but we are still refining some details on the inside and the exterior of the house.

Please inquire for dates in January and February. The house is available to book during these months, but we want to make sure your car is capable to drive up to the house during inclement weather.

Things to note
-The house is not suitable for small children. There are steep slopes around the house that are not suitable for toddlers.
-Please be cautious walking around the grounds and don't climb on the steeper slopes to avoid erosion.

Guest access
When renting Seeblick Haus you have access to the entire property, except the basement and garage.

Enjoy the home as if it was your own.

Please leave the house in general condition as you found it.
-Not leaving any dirty dishes
-Wiping down counters and putting any items you may have taken out back where you found them
-Closing and locking all doors & windows
-Turning off all lights
-Place all dirty towels in laundry bags that are located in the master closet or the basement
-Place dirty linens in laundry bags that are located in the master closet or the basement
-Put trash from your stay in waste bin outside of the basement.

Trash & Recycling Instructions:
Please recycle! Even if you don't recycle at home we appreciate if you participate in the local effort to reduce, reuse and recycle waste. Use one of the bins under sink for recycling of all plastic, glass and cans, please rinse out before placing in bin.

Arriving on site:
-We share a driveway with our neighbor living on top of the hill. Please go only half way up the driveway and turn to the right at the electrical pole before the large fir trees.
-The driveway will be plowed when there will be more than four inches of snow. AWD vehicles with snow tires are mandatory for driving up to the house in the winter.

Other Notes:
-We supply bed linens and bathroom towels only. Please bring any beach towels. Linens and bath towels are not to be removed from property.
-The wood burning stove can be used, please burn nothing but wood in it. For starting the fire you can use newspaper or fatwood (an organic fire starter that is provided at the house), no chemical fire starters please. Please follow the instructions how to light a fire that you will find next to the stove. Please NEVER use the wood burning stove and downdraft on the kitchen island at the same time! It causes negative pressurization in the house that can draw exhaust backward down the chimney.

Pets:
No pets allowed at this time.

Smoking:
There is no smoking permitted on the property. If you must smoke please do outside and dispose of butts properly. An additional cleaning fee of $300 will be charged for any smoking inside the home.

Maximum Number of Guests:
The home houses 4 guests comfortably, additional guests up to 6 guests total need prior approval by the host.
