I'm a life long resident of Selma and owner of 2 independent local businesses, a full service real estate company and a company that conducts estate sales. For over 47 years I have been active in historic preservation efforts on the local and state level. I have served on various boards, again both state and local levels, all without compensation. I firmly believe we must give back to our community if we are to be an asset to that community.

My daughter, grandson and son-in-law live close by and I'm blessed that they are local because they are the most important part of my life.

One of my favorite sayings is that we should do the best we can with what we have at any given point in time...but that 100 years from now probably no one will know the difference anyway.

The beach is my favorite vacation spot. While I used to cook for large groups of people, I no longer do that but I certainly still enjoy food! I read and enjoy NPR and AL Public television. I'm an active communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and have served as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, lay reader and on the Vestry. I'm presently a lector and serve on the altar guild.

Friends are an important part of my life and I enjoy spending time with them.
