COVID-19 has brought challenges to our lives; we set Special Discounts (ie Law Enforcement and Healthcare givers) in support of COVID-19, and special cleaning per CDC guidelines. Our home is located in Villas de Altamira, a very friendly neighborhood surrounded by local bakeries which are a staple of the town. Equipped with high speed Internet, we have a backyard with a garden-like atmosphere. Our home offers comfortable beds and a beautiful modern kitchen, with multiple relaxing lounging areas.

The space
The Caban home is stunning with an open floor plan with lots of natural sunlight shining through. The living room and dining room are adjacent to each other, just a few steps from the kitchen. This area can be found as you enter the home from the front or side entrance. A six-person dining table is available where our guests can enjoy their main meals.

The Maximum number of guests is limited to 6 persons to enjoy a very comfortable stay. If it is determined that the rental party has exceeded said amount, an additional charge of $25.00 per person per night will be billed to the guest. We may cancel the reservation at any time if it is determined that the maximum occupancy has been exceeded without previous notification.

The kitchen has everything guests need to cook a full meal. The family room is located past the kitchen containing a tv set, a two-piece reclining sofa set, and access to the balcony.

Each bedroom has A/C units that are great for the hot summer days. Beds are fully equipped, and there are dressers in each of the rooms for clothing storage. Bathrooms are also fully equipped with toiletries and towels for the convenience of our guests.

The balcony is where guests spend most of the time. It includes a BBQ grill, a tall table and three wood benches that sit visitors to enjoy breakfast and lunch with a gorgeous view. Just a few steps further we have a three-piece sitting arrangement with a panoramic view of the ocean and countryside.

Our spacious backyard has a few sitting areas where visitors can enjoy fresh air and the sounds of nature at nighttime.

Where you’ll be

Arecibo, Puerto Rico

COVID-19 has changed working schedules or has disabled some of our favorite places to enjoy puerto rican cuisine in the Arecibo area; however, we still list them as they may come back during your stay. Our favorite Bakery is "Barranca Bakery", which is 3 minutes away. Here you can find freshly baked bread and pastries, as well as lunch specials and the best sandwiches in town. A delicious coffee and a "Tortipan" breakfast sandwich is our favorite way to start the day.

On the way to this very bakery you can find a kiosk where our typical fried cuisine is prepared by the sweetest old ladies. Do not miss them! These fried concoctions are unique and very much part of our culture.

For the religious folks, Arecibo is home to a variety of Christian and Catholic churches spread across the town, few minutes from the house by car.

The nearest beaches are close to the Arecibo Lighthouse which has a historical park great for families. Our favorite beaches are found only 15 minutes car ride on the coast to the east of our home.

Picholo's Restaurant is the spot for seafood. We make our way there for fish empanadas, seafood stuffed plantains, and a hefty plate of rice and beans.

Most restaurants offer drinks for people 18 years and older, and there are a few bars around for those interested in nightlife. Thursdays and Fridays the bar/restaurant “La Lola” offers Latin nightlife with good food. Searching on Google you can find many other bars to your liking.

Feel free to contact for other recommendations on restaurants and other attractions to visit.
