We were sooo happy with our stay! We arrived and there was a wonderful bottle of wine waiting for us to enjoy after our drive to Sonoma. The house was very clean, cute, and spacious. The patio out back was wonderful! There was a grass area great for playing games. Also plenty of comfy chairs for lounging and a table that we used to enjoy the gourmet coffee that was in the fridge and our breakfast. The kitchen was also well stocked with things you may have forgotten at the store like condiments. I would recommend this place to any of my friends, and would defiantly stay there again myself!
Very nice, Clean, well organized, everything was layed out and explained to us very well! Bright Sunny, nice patio area. Very spacious!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Retro Retreat! First of all, it is in a great location - close to the Sonoma Square as well as many of the wineries we planned on visiting. The house is just perfect for 3 couples. The extra 1/2 bath really makes it comfortable for everyone to have enough room to spread out. I can't say enough about the outdoor space - there is plenty of comfortable seating as well as the grill and dining area. Even though there were other homes close by, it always felt very private.
The kitchen was well-stocked and the furniture very comfortable. The pantry was stocked with the basics including wonderful coffee - thank you! This was our first experience on airbnb and it will definitely not be our last. We have rented houses in other parts of the country in the past and are used to having to bring absolutely everything so this experience was very positive and a real treat.
Thank you Josette and Dave for opening your wonderful home up for others to enjoy.
The retro retreat was perfect for our girls getaway. This home was charming, beds were comfortable, it was clean, and was easy access to everything. The large backyard sitting area was lovely. There was also ample seating in the living room for end-of-the-day-in-front-of-the-wood-burning-stove-chats, and a nice large dining table for morning coffee and planning. Plenty of guidebooks showed how much our hosts wanted us to enjoy Sonoma; they were also very helpful in messaging with extra tips. So glad they have this lovely home on airbnb. Would recommend AND stay again.
Josette & dave's place was perfect for the fees days we spent in Sonoma wine tasting. It's walking distance from a nice market and a few other spots, and a cheap can ride to downtown Sonoma for dinner. We especially enjoyed the outside patio for afternoon drinks & getting some sun. The hosts were extremely quick to respond as well when I couldn't figure out the key lock box at first. Thanks!
About the Host, Josette And Dave
Josette and Dave have been married for 20 years. We live in Sonoma, with our 3 cats. We have been here 10 years, after living for more than 10 years in San Francisco. We love living in the Sonoma wine country, with the great weather, fine food and fine wine.
When we travel, we would rather stay in vacation rentals (house or apartment) than in a hotel room.
