Interaction with Guests
We are a family of 5 (children 2, 5, 7 years old); therefore during the day there is always something going on in the house. We do not occupy the top floor and therefore it is reserved to our guests (and our home office). We enjoy meeting new people. And since we have enough space, we are pleased to offer a room and hope that you feel comfortable with us.
We are located in the peacefull district of "Auquisamaña", where is no crossing traffic in our streets. Also, we are struck by the magnificent rocky landscape in our backs.
The center of the Zona Sur, San Miguel, is located about 10-15 min walk from here, where a considerable number of fine restaurants are to find.
Convenient public transport (minibus, TRUFI, Puma Katari) can be taken at max. 10 min walk. Otherwise, at any time a taxi can easily be ordered. From the airport to our house it requires (depending on time of day) about 40 minutes to 1 hour in taxi. The costs (email hidden) 80.-
We hope that guests feel at home with us. It is also our concern that mutual trust can take place and also a good exchange will reign. We are happy to help you with your questions and concerns.
A few things that we necessarily expect from our guests:
- In the house and the front yard is non-smoking
- No pets
- No visits, unless specifically agreed in advance
I've only got to spend 2 days/3 nights in La Paz with Andrea and her family - which definitely is too little time to get to know the city in all its facets. But it was enough to get to know Andrea and her family as a really warm and welcoming family who immediately make your stay enjoyable. The house is incredibly spacious and beautifully furnished, so was the big room I had to myself with a private bathroom and enough space to really make/feel myself at home. The breakfast they offer is indeed so delicious (fresh fruits and juice, granola, bread, tea - whatever you can imagine and wish for) - and gives you the energy needed to spend a whole day in La Paz discovering the city and the Bolivian flair.
The family welcomes you as a part of it - or leaves enough room to do your own thing. They help you with everything - if its planning your trips or even taking care you get the right taxi in time when you have to leave again.. (Even though it's so early in the morning!)
Vielen Dank für die 3 schönen Tage bei euch, ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt - und es war ein super Abschluss meiner aufregenden Reisezeit (auch wenn es wehtut, mir das "Ende" jetzt einzugestehen).
I spent 2 weeks with Andrea and her lovely family for the first two weeks of my new life in La Paz. I had a great time with them, felt very welcome, and all was great.
The house is in a very quiet street but easy walking distance fom the center of Zona Sur. Definitely warmer and also a bit more oxigen down here. The room is a good size with lot's of wardrobe space and stable internet. It is bright and sunny which makes it very comfy. The bathroom also has hot water.
If I would arrive to La Paz again without a place to stay, this would be my choice in Zona Sur. Enjoy!
It was a pleasure to stay with Andrea and her family on arriving to La Paz. There house is in a quiet part of the city, away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. They made us feel very welcome and gave us some very useful tips in terms of finding our way around La Paz.
