Buckhead is a blend of commerical (Peachtree Street) and residential neighborhoods. The listing description is accurate. The place is really specious. My parents did not have any problem with the place. Great place at a great location. Only problem was the ATL weather. Two big malls are just a mile walking distance. Or Uber can get you there for less than 6 dollars. So over all great place. Will surly recommend people to stay here.
Easy to find very comfortable stay. Jane was very sweet and always there when I needed her. Wish it was two bathrooms but everything else was perfect ! Would stay again
Firstly the listing was exactly as described. The apartment was very clean. We were met with a small welcome packet of grocery to see us through to the following morning.
I would definitely stay here again, the host was always available to help if needed. On the few occasions I had to contact her, she responded immediately. There is lots to do if you want that 'stay at home day' as we had use of the snooker table, table tennis and trampoline. We all really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Jane's apartment.
The area is very safe and friendly and the location of the house is close to everything. An Uber ride to the famous Lennox Mall is only $6. It also cost only $6 to get to Lennox Marta trains, so going downtown to see the local spots was quick and inexpensive.
Our stay in Buckhead was great! The "apartment" was spacious and was perfect for 2 couples (living room area to hang out, pool table to keep the boys entertained & BEAUTIFUL yard to relax and read). It's in a VERY affluent area in north Atlanta, not close enough to walk to the sites but definitely just a few minutes drive to everything we needed.
Overall a very good experience. Jane was very nice and accommodating throughout our stay. My wife and I stayed along with our 2 children and although there were some minor issues, the benefits greatly outweigh the challenges and we would definitely stay again. The location is perfect as described, within minutes of anything you could want, centrally located and easy to get around the city if needed. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, gyms, parks, coffee shops, etc. With 2 young children (7wks and 22mths old) the private entrance, 2 separate bedrooms, games and puzzles, lots of space, kitchenette, bathtub, etc. made for the perfect setup compared to a hotel. The large flat screen TV was great for both kid's cartoon in the morning and then unwinding after a long day with a glass of wine and a movie at night. My only complaints are because I had young children and a lot of stuff with me on this trip. It's a basement apartment, a very nice one, but an entire family with dogs live in the house above it. You can't expect them to tip toe around all the time, but it got to be very loud and disruptive at times. Especially in the afternoon and evening when we would be trying to get our little girl to nap or sleep. You can hear every movement, dog bark, etc. Aside from that, the entrance is through a gate, down a hill and around the back of the house. The walkway is made up of big stones. Very pretty, but not ideal when you have to unload and load a ton of stuff, as we did, not to mention hard for a kid to walk on. They were also wet and slightly muddy every morning, I think because the sprinklers ran at night. Again these were only issues because we had our little girls and a ton of stuff with us. If it were just me on business or my wife and I for pleasure or even if my kids were a little older, none of that would have mattered a bit. Having said all that, overall it was great and we would definitely stay again, even with those minor challenges.
Large, spacious basement level with access to backyard. House is very clean and in a quiet, gorgeous neighborhood.
Jane was very accommodating and let us leave our luggage there even though we've checked out, til later in the day when we have to leave for our flight.
Only downside is the walls are a little thin, could hear some footsteps in the morning. But I still slept quite well overall.
Jane was very responsive through the booking process and provided a warm welcome. The description doesn't do the space and lovely outdoors justice. We had a great stay and Jane was very attentive. The only piece missing for us was a stove however there's a grill available plus everything else you would expect in a kitchen ( oven, microwave, fridge, toaster + coffee pot (and coffee! etc.). Neighborhood is very safe and location is perfect with easy access to main highways, restaurants/night life, malls, and direct routes to get Downtown or North toward the Perimeter without too much traffic. We will definitely stay again!
About the Host, Jane
Born in Ireland, raised and educated in Ireland, I love to travel and meet people, and have lived in many countries. I now live in Atlanta with my family. Although hotels are fine, my ideal visit anywhere is to stay with friends or in a rental home as I like to relax and prepare my own food sometimes, soaking in the local culture and foods. Airbnb has that vibe for me and since I have extra space I thought it would be a great way to meet people and offer home comforts in an area of Atlanta which comprises of expensive hotels.
