PLEASE NOTE there is a 3 month minimum rental, preferably 4 months. This is a large, sunny bedroom with a private bath in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. The garage parking space (with electric door opener provided) is a rarity in the city! Sliding glass doors in both the living room overlook Pacific Height's beautiful LaFayette Park and open to a private deck with park views. The deck faces East and is a terrific spot to sit and enjoy the morning sun and a complimentary cup of freshly ground local organic coffee while planning your day. The back patio receives the late afternoon sun and is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and to pick some fresh herbs and lettuce from the garden.
AMENITIES:: High-end cotton linens, down duvet, and fluffy towels are provided. The bedroom has a Queen size Memory foam mattress. The kitchen is stocked with cookware if you are up for cooking. There's a wet bar in the living room should you invite a few friends over. I also provide a hair dryer, clothes iron and ironing board and happy to help out in case you forgot something.
THE LOCATION:: Just across the street, LaFayette Park has terrific walking paths, tennis courts, a playground, dog play area and the postcard views enjoyed by Danielle Steele (the Spreckles Mansion), the historic home once owned by Sir Aurthur Conan Doyle, and catch an occasional glimpse of the famed feral parrots in the early morning.
Pacific Heights is a terrific, central location with a great neighborhood feel and easy commute most anywhere in the city. Walk 5 blocks North to amble past Union Streets boutiques, bars and restaurants; or head 3 blocks South to Japan Town for the freshest sushi you’ve ever had or a 10 minute chair massage; or venture 2 blocks East to Fillmore Street for your choice of 4 coffee shops, dozens of restaurants, groceries, a Saturday Farmers’ Market, and more; or journey 5 blocks West to Polk Street for cheap eats and late night bars, clubs and restaurants. Learn why it is called Pacific HEIGHTS as you climb uphill from every direction to come back to the apartment. The No. 1 bus stops on the corner with service to downtown business district. Walk 4 short blocks and take the cable car down California Street right through Union Square and all the way to Market Street. Walk from there to the Ferry Building for the City’s largest Saturday Farmers’ Market. Or venture out of the city to nearby Muir Woods, Napa and Sanoma Valleys, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and return to the city knowing your car can be returned to your garaged parking space.
THE PLACE:: \The unit features high-speed wireless internet; hardwood floors throughout; a striking Venetian plaster wall; 42" flat screen TV; a wet bar; an equipped granite and stainless chef’s kitchen with instant-on glass range and dishwasher; and central heat. Composting, recycling and coin-operated laundry facilities are all in the building. You are invited to cook your meals, play the stereo, enjoy a program on the television (a Blu Ray and DVD player are provided), play a board game in the living room or just enjoy quiet time.
MORE DETAILS:: An additional futon also available if you have an occasional overnight guest. The price reflects the surcharges by my building and taxes. For longer tenants, I would like to arrange for regular cleaning and depending on your interest would ask you to pay towards that.
One garage space (with electric door opener) is available. The charge for the garage $350/mo is payable directly to me prior arrival, as is a $200 Security Deposit.

Great location, good apartment, superb environment and amazing host. Highly recommended!
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
great location, very comfortable surroundings
Shan was the best host, a real San Franciscan, and the flat was nice, thanks for a wonderful time and thanks for letting me charge the car in the garage. The flat is a few blocks off popular streets , but if you walk straight into the park there is sea view and it's on the top of San Francisco. You wont regret it, but you have to like dogs :)
Great place to stay! Excellent host, really neat neighborhood. Right by a huge park and the one-time home of Sherlock Holmsey writer himself Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Cabs pretty much anywhere in the city are about ten bucks plus tip, and there's a bus line right by the place. Shan is super friendly and always willing to lend a hand with food and transit recommendations. Place is classy and clean. Stayed there for five nights with the BF, and both of us couldn't be happier.
Thank you for allowing us to rent your amazing apartment in SF for our week long vacation. The apartment was sparkling clean, had every needed amenity, comfortable beds, great tips on the city and restaurants in the area, parking garage, excellent location and the most fantastic balcony/view to enjoy every day!!! Our host was easy to reach, more than accomodating and everything was as promised...EVEN BETTER!! Thanks again for making our vacation a success!!!
Fabulous place, fabulous hostess! Shan's condo in Pacific Heights is truly lovely, with a wonderful view of Lafayette Park across the street - even better than described. Quiet, gorgeous neighborhood, within walking distance to great coffee shops, restaurants and shopping on Fillmore and even closer to bus stops if you want to venture out farther into the city. I wish we had spent more time at the Park across the street - so relaxing and beautiful. Thanks for your charming hospitality and SF brew pub recommendations, Shan! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Shannon is always willing to help and very thoughtful to her guests. The apartment is in a really good neighborhood, and is beautiful inside, especially the bathrooms. Access to public transit is easy, and the views from the apartment are quite refreshing. Recommend to anyone staying in SF.
We loved the excellent location. We found the stay with Shan a pleasant one; very outgoing, informative, and generous person. The only suggestion I could give is that she hire new cleaners. Other than that, she is the ultimate host. We couldn't have chosen a better place. She went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one. Next time we will take you up on the cooked meal and the game. Cheers!
Shannon's place was great! It was clean and comfortable with extra nice touches......extra blankets and towels, laundry soap, toiletries in the bathroom and coffee and tea........really nice! I will definitely come back with my family on our next stay in San Francisco.
