The historic town of Punta Gorda is a hidden Florida treasure and lies as a wide point of land sticking out into Charlotte Harbor-one of the US's largest natural harbors. Its name comes from the Spanish, meaning Fat Point.
Centrally located between Sarasota to our North and Fort Myers to our South, Punta Gorda is a delightful location within a comfortable driving distance of Tampa, Orlando Naples and Miami. We are blessed with Florida sunshine year around and attract both tourists and new residents alike. They come to Punta Gorda to enjoy our laid-back Florida lifestyle. It is a paradise for fishermen, boaters, sun-worshipers, ar enthusiasts and shoppers. There are two seasons in Punta Gorda. Winter is considered the months from January to April and summer lasts the rest of the year. Winter residents are sometimes referred to as “snowbirds” who call Punta Gorda their winter home for three to six months. At certain peaks, winter residents increase the population by 30 percent or more. Punta Gorda is the only incorporated city in Charlotte County. It boasts wonderful resturants, marinas, and an easy pace of life that people from around the world come to enjoy.
The city offers business a year-round clientele, which is made up of local, domestic and international customers. It is also responding to industry as commerce realizes the importance of our location as Southwest Florida continues to boom and grow. You can enjoy the active fishing and boating community that borders the downtown historic district and the views and sunsets from the edge of town looking across the harbor towards the Gulf of Mexico are nothing short of spectacular.
We really had a great time in Gaby´s place. The house was big, clean and we had everything what we needed there. Gaby was very nice and always very helpful. If we come back again we would definitely stay in her place again. Martina

My husband and I stayed at Gabriele's villa while in Punta Gorda for a wedding. The villa was immaculate, and very comfortable. It's located in a quiet neighborhood. Gabriele was most attentive and quickly answered any questions we had. What more could you ask for?
The reservation was canceled 11 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The villa and the Hasenkamps were both outstanding.
The villa was beautiful, spacious, clean, and had all the conveniences of home. It was located in a nice neighborhood, both safe and centrally located.
We enjoyed the two salt water pools the community had to offer. Everyone we met in the development were very friendly.
I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to visit the Punta Gorda area.
