A friendly chilled out home in the quaint little town of Kilmuckridge. 20 minutes to the town of Gorey, 25 minutes to Wexford Town and 10 minutes drive to Morriscastle beach which is part of one of the largest coast lines in Europe.
Me and my boyfriend live in a detached house in the small village of Kilmuckridge, Wexford.
We are both very much into organic living and permaculture and try to incorporate that into our daily lives starting from getting fresh eggs each morning from our two beautiful red and white hens to picking salad for lunch.
We are currently establishing a veggie and perennial garden using permaculture techniques so we're hoping for a lovely summer to reap the rewards:):)
Our home is very relaxed and open and is ideal for a few days spent relaxing by the beach or a good base for exploring the greater areas of Wexford.
We have 1 double room which can sleep 2 people, we can also arrange and extra single room/ extra bed if need for an extra fee.
€30 for single occupancy per night
€45 for double occupancy per night
Double bedroom with en-suite (toilet), There is a kitchen that you can use as you like, washer & dryer, shared downstairs toliet with electric shower, the garden & patio :)
We have a sitting room but as both of us work from home the sitting room is used as an office so is off limits.
Interaction with Guests
We will be here if you need any help or information on where to go and what to see or if you just want to hang out with a beer.
Kilmuckridge village itself is small but even so it still has 3 pubs, a hotel (which serves food), a post office, two grocery stores, a chinese take away and a chipper.
Also 10 minutes car ride away you have Morriscastle beach which has one of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland.
In Morriscastle there is a chip shop (really nice fish and chips :) ) and a shop which serves chilled wine, crepes, coffee and other goodies such as snorkelling gear and wetsuits for a day at the beach.
Wells house is also situated 10 minutes drive from the house and have lovely gardens to roam around or even part take in one the tours of the grand house.
We are also located 15 minutes from Courtown Harbour which as loads of activites for kids during the summer months and Curracloe beach which has surfing and watersports during the summer months.
You would need a car to get around as public transport only services this area twice a week.
We are located 40 minutes drive away from Rosslare ferry port and 1 hour 30 minutes from Dublin Airport
Although if you where hitch-hiking the house is situated on the road which leads out to Wexford town and into the town of Kilmuckridge itself.
Other Things to Note
We are very close to some of the best beaches in the country. We are also situated in the warmest sunniest county in Ireland.
As I have mentioned above we are both easy going people and don't run our house like a coventional BnB as its our home too:):)
We would just want any guests to treat our stuff like they would their own.
I had a lovely first night in Ireland with Roisin and Dave, they were very friendly and welcoming and the room was nice. They were extremely helpful in helping me find the house and suggesting other places to visit in Ireland, I would recommend!
Had a lovely two night stay in their beautiful area. Both Roisin and Dave gave us wonderful recommendations on places to visit, including Wells House, the local beach (very long!) and the nearest place to eat. The hotel we ate at that they told us about was gorgeous and had delicious food, with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The only trouble we had was finding their house as we arrived in the dark and couldn't find the right road leading to them. Definitely have the phone number handy! Having said that, Roisin came out to meet us where we had pulled over, straight away.
Even when it's a bit off the track, we can highly recommend Roisins house for a stay! We were allowed to use the big kitchen, to sit outside in the wild garden and were warmly welcomed!
Roisin's home is in the "sunny southeast",with a lovely view towards the sea. The room is large and comfortable, and there's food nearby.
My daughter and I had a fabulous weekend in this very tranquil summery part of Ireland. Roisin and Dave made our stay very memorable. Full sky of bright stars from the back deck, short 5 min drive to nice beach, loads to do in the area, pet farms, amusement parks for the kids, forests walks and just the general relaxed holiday vibe in this area which is usually frequented by people on a summer break from Dublin.
Didn't want to leave and would love to stay with these guys again!
