The location of the apartment was very good - it was a 5-7 minute walk to Shinsen station; about 15 minutes walk to Shibuya station/area. The nearby grocery and Lawsons, Family Mart, and various restaurants were very convenient.
The apartment itself was a squeeze for 6 people, but quite cozy (we didn't really mind the size - it was prob typical of most Japanese apartments). The beds were large and comfortable. The apartment was clean and basic amenities were all provided - essential kitchen supplies, fridge and microwave and toaster, air conditioner (there was also a washing machine which we didn't use). If your needs are pretty basic, then this is a good place to stay. The bathroom could use some improvement - a fan helped to keep the space dry but it would perhaps help to have separate partitions for the toilet area and the shower area.
The host prepared videos about the apartment and how to get there from the station, which were very helpful as we were able to view them in advance. At our last night in the apartment, the fire alarm kept going off because the wiring tripped or something (a fireman came to check things; the building owner seemed to know what was happening), and Bruce personally came to the apartment to inform us (in English ;)) about what was going on and to check that all was ok. That was nice.
The Listing - The Shibuya loft was disappointing. The bathroom gave off a foul smell that filled the loft making it impossible for us to stay. The end result was we had to leave and book a hotel an hour away from our planned area.
The Host - We decided to book with Bruce and this listing due his initial ratings and reviews. Sadly, he was only helpful until we had an issue (the smelly bathroom). From then on we were neglected.
Perfect location, 10 mins walk to Shibuya. Easy to check in. The room is clean and have basic equipment. Mr B never show up from the beginning to the end. However I had no any trouble during my stay.
