--Recommendations or Guidance--
I have lived in Tokyo for almost 20 years and can help recommend what sights to see in Tokyo.
I have bikes available for 1000 yen per day--ask me about them
Many banks do not accept international credit cards in Japan. You will either need to use Citibank, a 711 or the Japan Postal Service ATM s. These are all located near the space.
Excellent location. Clean and tidy apartment with two very comfortable double beds. Has everything you need and apartment is very well catered for. Host is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
We had a fantastic stay in Bruce's apartment. We couldn't have asked for a better location- easy walking distance to Shibuya station and the street is filled with amazing bars and restaurants. We really felt like we were living in Tokyo. Definitely recommend and will stay here again when we are back in Tokyo!
All the positive reviews written for this place are all true. Well located, nice and clean, very close to crazy, packed and busy Shibuya but the apartment itself is very quiet. Good quality sleep. 2 beds; great deal. there's a 24 hours Maruetsu Petit store that sell pretty much what you need, their avocados are amazing btw. We were even allowed to stay until 1pm (i think check out time is 11pm). our flight was at midnight so those 2 hours were really helpful.
Out from apartment building, turn right to the main street, then walk all the way up till the end, turn left and you will arrive to Shibuya.
Definitely recommended. Definitely will stay there again.
this place rocks! Mr. B is the shot! rent asap! A+++
this is the best place inTokyo!
We had a fabulous week in Bruce's apartment. Shinsen is a wonderful neighbourhood in Shibuya. Absolutely fantastic, hip restaurants and izakayas right on the street by the apartment and all very good.
A two minute walk to Shinsen station or 10min walk to the heart of Shibuya. Great small supermarket close to the apartment.
The apartment is of course small (it's Tokyo!) but was a great space for my partner and I and our two Japanese friends for a week.
The pocket wifi that you can take with you around Tokyo was wonderful, especially for (website hidden) maps.
Bruce was great to deal with - great directions and communications before and during our stay. We didn't meet Bruce but all went very well and we would definitely stay again.
Both my partner and I loved Bruce's apartment. We stayed there two entire weeks and were very sad to leave. The apartment was exactly as described and photographed. It is very comfortable and thoughtfully set up. We made great use of the deck, the bikes, and the mobile WIFI. The mobile WIFI is especially great; it really enhanced the quality of our experience. The apartment's location is fantastic: moments away from all of the action and excitement in Shibuya, yet tucked away in the quiet, hip, enclave of Shinsen. Shinsen is very convenient and friendly, and is loaded with shops and great small restaurants. I cannot recommend Bruce's place highly enough. We are already planning our return.
Great location, and the host is super flexible, and easy to work with. The neighborhood is awesome, and the apartment works quite well. Easy walk to a ridiculous amount of things, and the very central Shibuya station.
And there's a balcony; cool!
Pocket LTE portable internet thingy is absolutely brilliant as well.
Did not get a chance to use the bikes, unfortunately, since I brought my own folder from the states. Still, great to have them as a backup options.
Anyways, it worked for me, the host was great, recommended!
Bruce's unit in Shibuya is amazing! Super clean, plenty of room for 2 people and in a fantastic location. The beds are very comfy and there is a bed heater or air-conditioner that you can use depending on the season you stay. We used both bikes that were available and took an early morning ride around the streets, it was quite an experience :)
The apartment block is located on a street full of quaint little bars & restaurants and it's not too far from Shibuya Station where the all the action happens.
Can definitely recommend this unit and can't wait to stay here again!
Bruce's spot in Shinsen was great! It is a short walk from Shibuya station. You can get here even quicker through the Shinsen station which is pretty much down the street. Short walks to all the attractions. Didn't get to ride his bikes but they were available in the garage. The pocket wifi is a life saver! Didn't have time to go but, the famous restaurant Kaikaya is down the street! I can see how things are starting to liven up in this love hotel district. Great spot!
This is our first time to go to Tokyo and Japan, and we four (with my husband and two sons) spent really happy time there. It was a great choice to stay at Bruce’s space, which improved our travel quality. I’d like to recommend the cozy and tidy space from the following aspects (actually I hurried to tell my friends after I came back): First, the easy transportation. Shibuya is easy to go anyway, and the space just less than 10 minutes walk from the station. We enjoyed our slow walk every morning and evening. Second, the delicious food. Thousands of restaurants and bars scattered along the streets and lanes. You can choose different one for each meal. Also, the supermarket, 3-minute walk, can offer you the fresh milk, eggs, bread, fruits and other good-taste food. Third, fast and portable wi-fi. Bruce provides us a fast and portable wi-fi, so we can figure out our location and search the museum information conveniently. Last, quiet enough to have a nice sleep. Though a few minutes from the clamorous city, it’s really quiet at the space, no noise from the people or the cars. At the end, I’d like to appreciate Bruce’s patience and hospitality. Our flight delayed a lot that day, and Bruce was waiting for us till very late and explained the details of the space to us. Thanks a lot. We’ll still choose the space if we go to Tokoyo again.
