The Space

Big double room with private living room in a quiet place with garden in Mile End (Plateau Mont-Royal), Montréal.

This is a sunny, cozy and colourful apartment with garden in the heart of Montreal. It’s located in the Mile-End area, part of le Plateau Mont-Royal, one of the nicest neighbourhood near downtown Montréal.

The subway is 5 minutes (Rosemont) or 10 minutes (Laurier) away. Downtown is about 15 minutes by subway or bus. There are also 3 Bixi stations at 2 minutes (public bicycle sharing system). You can easily park your car in the street just in front of the house but be careful to check the good side of the road. There is one for residents only.

The apartment has a big double bedroom with a closed living room that contains a queen size bed, a working desk, a big couch, a wide screen TV, a DVD player and a stereo system. There is also a smaller bedroom with a double futon and a working desk. There is a second living room with another stereo system.

You can rent the entire place with two bedrooms or one of the two bedrooms separately. This ad is for the big double room with private living room.

The place is located in the Mile End, which is where you’ll find the best coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques and bars in town. And, of course, the best bagels in the world! Learn more about the Mile End on the Wikipedia page: Mile_End (French page) or Mile_End,_Montreal (English page).

It is full equipped with kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom (tub with spa and shower), Wi-Fi Internet, etc.

The garden has fruit trees, lawn and a shadowed pergola with tables and seats. The BBQ is at guest's disposal.

Mount-Royal park (Montrealers call it “the Mountain”) is only at 15 minutes walk where you can take a leisurely walk up gravel pathways leading to the best views of the entire Montreal area. If you like shopping, St-Laurent street (“the Main”), Saint-Viateur and Bernard streets are 2 minutes away and Saint-Denis is 10 minutes. Little Italy and his restaurants are 5 minutes away North.

  • Appartement propre et très agréable à vivre (avec un chouette jardin !) et avec deux vrais chambres.
La situation est idéale dans le Mile-end.
Christophe est un bon guide si vous avez besoin de quelques adresses dans le quartier.

  • We came to Montreal for a wedding and appreciated having such a welcoming place to stay. We felt at home right away. It was convenient to have a fully equipped kitchen and we were able to eat both inside and out in the garden. The air conditioning was an added bonus. Thanks you so much for your hospitality Christophe!

  • One of the reasons we enjoy visiting Montreal is to get to know the neighbourhoods in which Montrealers live. Mile End is a great area to wander around with lots of interesting people, shops, restaurants and the famous St. Viateur bagels! Christophe provided a map of Montreal, on which he marked places for us. He also prepared a very thorough guide with helpful info about the apartment and everything you could possibly want to do in the area. With so many restaurants to choose from and all a short walk away, his guide mentioned Indonesian, and he kindly texted us with the exact address of Nonya, which we would recommend. Christophe’s location is also convenient for getting downtown (we had our car and street parking was no issue). We rented Christophe’s entire apartment and it was very spacious for our family of 3 - our daughter liked having her own bedroom. Along with our bagels :), my daughter picked raspberries in the large garden and we ate breakfast out under the pergola shaded by lush grapevines. Montreal can be very hot and humid in the summer so the air conditioning meant we all enjoyed a good night’s rest. We were sorry we could only stay one night but would definitely stay again! Thanks for your hospitality Christophe!

  • My group of 4 had a great stay at Christophe's apartment. We booked VERY last minute (the day before) and Christophe managed to get everything ready for our arrival, which was greatly appreciated. The apartment is very big, great eat-in (drink-in!) kitchen, and there is a large beautiful back yard which would be perfect in the summertime. The area is great, we did all of our dining near by and had amazing meals (brunch at le local, dinner at nouveau palais... drink at vices and versa, etc.) Lots of great coffee shops, and in an easy position to navigate the city. There are also really great beer shops nearby if you're into taking advantage of the Montreal beer scene.

Overall perfect. Would definitely stay here again!
