Rustic living at its finest! Wake up to panoramic sunrises over the Cherokee National Forest, view millions of stars at night or plan to catch a full moon rising over the mountains. Located in a quiet farming community, this renovated horse barn features two comfortable bedrooms, kitchen, bath and laundry rooms, expansive porches, grill, gazebo and fire pit. Bring your kayaks, rods & reels, hiking boots or a good book and enjoy what nature has to offer. Minutes to Hiwassee and Ocoee rivers.

The space
This is an actual horse barn which had been converted into a living space several years ago. It was recently remodeled to improve all interior rooms and outdoor areas. The master bedroom offers a side entrance to the porch along with a huge closet and dresser. The second bedroom has dresser space, a clothes rod and shelf.

Large kitchen, bathroom with rain head shower, full size washer and dryer for your convenience. There is no dishwasher or bathtub.

There is plenty of seating outside in addition to a fire pit, gazebo. and gas grill.

WiFi and a smart TV are in the unit. Many cell carriers have good reception in this area.

There is an abundance of wildlife here! You may see a variety of songbirds, hummingbirds or raptors flying nearby or deer and wild turkey that roam through the property during season.

There is only one living space at the barn. The second floor is unoccupied. Guests have access to first level apartment and outdoor spaces around the barn area. Home is non ADA compliant and no pets are allowed. Living room is entry level, there are up to 2 steps up to other rooms.

Guests may self check-in with electronic keypad. Instructions will be emailed upon confirmed booking.

No hunting is allowed on the property .

Guest access
Guests can use the entire downstairs apartment, exterior porches, gazebo, fire pit and grassy areas around the barn. The farm is approximately 21 acres of land, but it is not level terrain in many areas, so please use caution for walking or hiking. There is fencing around the property, and also the treeline in the back and along the road divides my property from the neighbors.

The love of travel has spanned my entire life. Growing up near Chicago, I was always fascinated by the history of my 'hometown' with its exceptional museums, theater and culture. My parents encouraged to see the world while I was still young. I was committed to see the world and get paid for it! Upon graduation from Loyola University, I began my new life with a career spanning over 25 years. During that time, I had worked for 3 major airlines, 2 travel agencies, a major hotel chain and a logistics company. The knowledge and flexibility that I have gained, the many relocations that I had made, plus the years of travelling the word extensively, have finally brought to fruition the perfect fit for me! Being your host is not only just a job, but my dream, to share the little piece of heaven that I have found here in Southeast Tennessee. In my eyes, I am on vacation every day. I hope that you will feel the same when you stay here at the Barn. In addition to hosting my Airbnb, I volunteer for a local wildlife rescue, enjoy a quiet life with my rescued parrots and still continue to travel by car, plane or ship every chance I can!
