About This Listing
You'll love our big apartment in King's Cross - one of London's trendiest and best-connected spots. It's just a ten-minute walk from King's Cross St. Pancras tube station.
You'll love our big apartment in one of London's trendiest and best-connected spots: King's Cross.
It's our home when we're not travelling, but you won't find any of our junk lying around: all the closet and drawer space is yours. It's got the cleanliness and sparseness of a hotel room, with the convenience, space and cosiness of a home.
BOOKING THE APARTMENT
We prefer to have at least two weeks' notice of your stay.
ABOUT THE APARTMENT
You will be renting out the entire apartment - you won't be sharing with anyone.
The apartment has one double bedroom, a large open-plan living room, a kitchen, bathroom and balcony.
There's a super-fast fibre wifi internet connection for your unlimited use, but no TV.
And if you want to get some work done, there's an office nook in the living room with a massive desk and comfy leather swivel chair.
The apartment is on the third floor of a purpose-built, low-rise (four floors) block - and there's an elevator if you need it! It isn't the most beautiful building from the outside, but the inside is homely, nicely decorated, clean and tidy.
My husband and I have lived in London our whole lives, so we know it pretty well and would be happy to answer any of your questions.
These days we travel around the world with our work, so we're often out of the country.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in contact.
The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, a kettle, crockery, cutlery, etc., as well as some yummy treats to get your trip off to a good start.
In the bathroom you'll find towels and soap.
The living room has a sofa, a comfy chair and coffee tables. There's also an office nook with a huge desk and comfy chair.
The bedroom has a closet, dresser and two bedside tables - heaps of storage space for all your stuff.
The view from the balcony isn't anything to get too excited about, but it's nice to have the extra space and easy access to fresh air!
Interaction with Guests
You'll have the entire apartment to yourself. Call, text or email me if you need anything during your stay!
I also like to email you once every so often to make sure you're doing OK and have everything you need.
King's Cross has loads going for it: heaps of independent and quirky bookshops, lots of lovely pubs and restaurants, and some great clubs too. We'll provide information about all our favourites when you arrive.
When it comes to location, you can't get any better: we score 94/100 on the WalkScore website for neighbourhood walkability!
You're within walking distance of Regent's Park, Camden, Islington and Primrose Hill. The bus stop around the corner has buses that will take you to places like Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly.
King's Cross St Pancras tube station is down the road (less than a mile away), and from there you'll be able to get the Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, Circle, District and Victoria line to practically anywhere in the city!
You're also less than a mile from St Pancras International - meaning you can hop on the Eurostar to Paris and make it two holidays in one.
No pets please
No partying (sorry)
No overnight guests other than those included in the booking
I can go on and on about Mish and her flat, but it wouldn't matter, this is one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had. You can read her other reviews, they are spot on. Mish is responsive, kind, and she clearly knows how to make people welcome.
When you first connect, you will get a guide on the flat which will answer every question you can think of - including info on some nearby restaurants and other tips and tricks to living in the apartment and the surrounding areas.
There are grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and cafes about a block away, and if you feel like taking a longer walk, Angel and everything it has to offer is a but further out.
I should mention that it is a 15 - 20 minute walk from the King's Cross Station, which on a regular day would be fine and a nice stroll, but add a long drunken night out, or an injury, or a 50 pound bag into the mix and it starts to feel longer. Hopefully in those cases you're in a cab or Uber anyways so maybe a non issue.
Overall, would highly recommend Mish's place, hurry up and book it before someone else does!
We had a great stay in Mish and Rob's apartment for five weeks, they provided plenty of helpful information for the flat itself and for London. The flat was in a good location, about a 15-20 min walk to Kings Cross and near plenty of restaurants in the Islington direction. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
This was my second time staying in this apartment - I had to come to London at the last minute, and Mish was kind enough to fit me in at short notice.
It was just as clean and inviting as last time - and of course, was still in a great location! It makes for a great base because it has every bus and train connection you could ever want, and it's just a couple of minutes' walk to shops where you can pick up anything you could ever need.
Although I was never able to meet Mish personally, she was always readily available via e-mail and the pdf guide to the apartment was extremely detailed and helpful. The apartment itself is quite spacious and the location is very convenient - a ten-minute walk or five-minute bus ride to King's Cross, and from there to points beyond is easy (the 91 bus also goes nearly from the doorstep to Trafalgar Square). Comes highly recommended for longer stays, as the apartment is large, well-connected, and the internet is as fast as advertised.
Mish was a fabulous host! She was incredibly responsive, gave a wonderfully detailed PDF with all the info a person could possibly want about the flat, and kept in touch during my stay to make sure everything was going well.
The flat was very spacious and comfortable. It was so nice to have a washer after traveling for a while. It would be perfect for a couple traveling to London.
I couldn't have asked for a better location. It's on multiple bus lines and a quick jaunt to King's Cross/St. Pancras International if you want to catch the train to Paris or Brussels. There are grocery stores, a post office, a beautiful bakery, and loads of other shops a short walk from the flat as well. I'd recommend this flat for anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in central London.
A parting note for foreigners traveling to London: King's Cross was not always a nice neighborhood, but in the past few years it has exploded in popularity and has significantly changed in demographic. The buildings in this neighborhood are post war, tenement-style buildings and can look like "the projects" from the outside. The neighborhood is safe though. So don't judge a book by its cover.
This flat is great! My wife and I stayed here for three months, could not have been happier. Within walking distance of the City and for going out Islington is very nearby, there are also shops and good restaurants a couple of minutes away. The flat itself is large compared to other short-term rentals we've used, especially the very big living room.
Mish was a great host, helped us out with any questions and even provided a guide to the flat and area before we checked in. Thanks!
