Eamonn was friendly and accommodating. Nice as could be. Busy neighborhood, lively bar downstairs. It was a fun experience and not too noisy. I've slept over a bar! :) Kilkenny is a place one should stay in and spend 3 or more days just walking it on foot. The history, the shopping, the charm! We'll stay longer next time.
Great welcoming and great room for the price. Clean, warm etc. 2-3 min walk from train station, 5 min walk into town.
People were very welcoming.
Would recommend to anyone wanting great basic accomodation. Breakfast can be had at other places close by.
The room was just as we expected and the hosts and generally the people of Kilkenny were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our quick stay, everything was great.
Très jolie ville à ne surtout pas manquer, les chambres sont propre, pas chère et bien placées.
The listing was true to our experience
Eamonn was a gentlemanly host & very happy to help making sure we were comfortable and well catered for
The traditional Irish pub bisit is a must for all travellers in Ireland
stayed there on the 27/9/14 found the rooms quite nice and the staff were very welcoming and helpful if i stay in Kilkenny again i will stay here if available.

My Name is Eamonn I am a grandson of the late Mrs O ‘Gorman who owned and ran the pub which is known as Kilkenny House O'Gorman's the pub was originally bought by my great great grandparents Daniel and Rose. making me the fifth generation to run the establishment. We have Recently renovated the living accommodation over the pub to en suite private rooms for rental consisting
of 3 double rooms 1 twin room and 1 single room.
O’ Gormans style as a “local” is what makes it unique, and the pub takes its style from its customers. It’s a noted venue for pre- and post hurling match “get togethers”, being so close to Nowlan Park and the train station.
