Eamonn was a great host, he was very helpful in helping me find transportation to and from Kilkenny, I didn't meet Eamonn in person because his brother was at the pub to give me the key. His brother was also very kind and helped us find out where to go for food and entertainment in Kilkenny. The space was great, the beds were clean and the rooms were quite at night and we slept great. Would recommend this place for sure.
It was great! The room is centrally located to the castle and having a genuine Irish pub experience downstairs was loads of fun. Friendly and welcoming locals and staff.
The room was good and Eamonn was great! The pub below didn't keep us up and was a fun place for a beer.
Eamonn is a great host, he provides a nice place in a great neighborhood. He also has some insights about Kilkenny and can give great recommendations. I recommend staying at Eamonn's place!
Eamonn was friendly and accommodating. Nice as could be. Busy neighborhood, lively bar downstairs. It was a fun experience and not too noisy. I've slept over a bar! :) Kilkenny is a place one should stay in and spend 3 or more days just walking it on foot. The history, the shopping, the charm! We'll stay longer next time.
Great welcoming and great room for the price. Clean, warm etc. 2-3 min walk from train station, 5 min walk into town.
People were very welcoming.
Would recommend to anyone wanting great basic accomodation. Breakfast can be had at other places close by.
The room was just as we expected and the hosts and generally the people of Kilkenny were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our quick stay, everything was great.

My Name is Eamonn I am a grandson of the late Mrs O ‘Gorman who owned and ran the pub which is known as Kilkenny House O'Gorman's the pub was originally bought by my great great grandparents Daniel and Rose. making me the fifth generation to run the establishment. We have Recently renovated the living accommodation over the pub to en suite private rooms for rental consisting
of 3 double rooms 1 twin room and 1 single room.
O’ Gormans style as a “local” is what makes it unique, and the pub takes its style from its customers. It’s a noted venue for pre- and post hurling match “get togethers”, being so close to Nowlan Park and the train station.
