We stayed in Eamonn's room for just one night. Excellent location right in the centre of Kilkenny. Eamonn was very welcoming when we arrived and had maps of the area provided if you need them. Cheap parking close. Room is even nicer than in the picture. All in all an excellent stay- highly recommended!
Location was very good. Room was attractive and generally (website hidden) was friendly and staff was helpful. No noise from bar, but a little from busy street.
First, I cannot recommend Eamonn's "room over a pub" highly enough. Our stay there was exactly as I had hoped. The room was small but very comfortable. It was centrally - perhaps perfectly -located in the town. And, the pub below was warm, friendly and welcoming - in fact, it felt like an extension of the room. Perhaps the only down side was that I didn't get to meet Eamonn who was, coincidentally, in America but his brother Bernard was a perfect host. If there are any "warnings" at all to be made it is that the pub itself sits on a relatively busy corner of the neighborhood so some street noise can heard at night - but it didn't bother me at all. All in all, I felt it was the perfect place to begin my first trip to Ireland.
The room was just as pictured! Wonderful price, clean and attractive room added to a kind and warm reception makes this room a perfect booking!
My only issue was the bright lights from the street that made its way around the drapes. Should you be sensitive, I recommend bringing a eye mask.
Otherwise, situated on the main streets of Kilkenny, you will have yourself a perfect place to rest!
The place was good to find. Also there was a parking behind the pub. We stayed the (email hidden) and enjoyed it very much. Greetings to john from cork :-) and thanks for the cat picture. The room was nice for the evening and very central.

My Name is Eamonn I am a grandson of the late Mrs O ‘Gorman who owned and ran the pub which is known as Kilkenny House O'Gorman's the pub was originally bought by my great great grandparents Daniel and Rose. making me the fifth generation to run the establishment. We have Recently renovated the living accommodation over the pub to en suite private rooms for rental consisting
of 3 double rooms 1 twin room and 1 single room.
O’ Gormans style as a “local” is what makes it unique, and the pub takes its style from its customers. It’s a noted venue for pre- and post hurling match “get togethers”, being so close to Nowlan Park and the train station.
