Check In
  • Terrific apartment in the heart of Isafjördur. We had a lovely relaxing stay here in the middle of a snow storm! Dagny was also incredibly warm and friendly, and very helpful in giving us advice during the storm. We would love to come back here in better weather!

  • After a bit of a snafu with the coordinating of transferring keys, we settled into Dagny's apartment very comfortably. I think there might have been some confusion since we did a last minute booking (and we're incredibly thankful that she replied so fast AND gave us a discount!), and she accidentally gave us the wrong directions. The apartment listing doesn't have a number for the street either, so we didn't know which apartment it was. After a bit of sleuthing, we found her mother's house and subsequently, the keys and address. We had a relaxing time in her beautiful apartment, which is very conveniently located two blocks from the heart of Isafjordur. We didn't get to meet her, unfortunately, but everything turned out great! We highly recommend her cozy apartment, and besides the miscommunication, we think Dagny is a lovely host.

  • A wonderful, very cozy place in beautiful Isafjördur. We enjoyed our stay there very much - and it is perfectly situated for getting around Isafjördur: in a quiet sidestreet, yet central. The lovingly decorated flat was a true home away from home for us.

  • Dagny's apartment was definitely the best stay among all our other accomodation in Iceland. Big, clean and super comfy beds! The kitchen was definitely well stocked!

A pity that we didn't get to meet Dagny as she was away for a much deserved holiday, but her mum was a wonderful lady who walked us to our apartment and showed us around. Not forgetting, you have a wonderful gallery.

As the apartment faces a school, it tends to get abit noisy in the early morning when the kids are playing ball at the court.

Nonetheless, we had a fantastic stay and will highly recommend this apartment to all those who are coming to the West Fjords :)

  • Dagny was a great host. She really knows Isafjordur, including the location of the best fish buffet in the world! We met her at her boutique, which is itself worth a visit, then drove over to her apartment. The apartment is very nice and makes for a great base from which to explore the area. These are definitely the best accommodations in Isafjordur!

  • We loved Dagny's place. The apt was cozy, clean and nice. Dagny was very nice to us, we had some trouble on the way to the apt and we ended up very late in Isafjordur. For Dagny this was not a problem: she welcomed us with a big hug!

  • Dagny's place was wonderful - just what we needed after a day of exploring. The place was very comfortable and clean, and she left a great map of recommendations for things to do and see during our stay. We would definitely stay with Dagny again :)

  • This place has almost everything except internet and laundry. It is very clean, quiet, and beautiful.

  • This lovely 1Br apartment was everything we needed after the long drive to the Westfjords. Dagny, whose own house is just a couple minutes' walk away, was very nice and accommodating, and upon arrival gave us a map with all of her recommendations marked down (and the fish restaurant she recommended was indeed foodgasmic). The location is very central, a short walk away from the grocery store and tourist information center. There is no internet in the apartment, but the kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the apartment furnishings are very cozy. If you are ever venturing to the Westfjords, I definitely recommend staying here!

There are no such thing as a problem. There are only a solutions :-D I am a gallery owner, glass artist, framer, cabinetmaker and allot of other things. I live in a grate town called Isafjordur along with approximately 3000 other people. I live in a big house along with my husband Halldor and my mother. We can get in touch with a lot of outdoor enthusiasts such as kayaks, horse-riders and sailing activities. We have our own little fishing boat and we could take you out for a trip. We love skiing. It is only five minutes to the skiing area. If you like to photograph the surroundings we can contact one ore two photographers that can give you some hints. I have a fully fitted workshop for glass fusing. If you are interesting to stay for a month or so you can send me a line and I can give you an offer for renting the apartment and my workshop. I have two small kilns -50cm x 50cm- and a big one -90cm x 120cm- I have a grinder, driller, and so on for this kind of glass working. The west fjords are an endless source of inspiration any time of the year. This little town is well known for our music and art. The rock festival "Aldrei fór ég suður" is very popular and held every Easter and the annual music festival and summer courses Við Djúpið are held in the West Fjords of Iceland around summer solstice, offering series of concerts and master classes. The master classes are held in close cooperation with the Iceland Academy of the Arts, and are accredited by it´s Department of Music. We are very helpful and will do our best to make your visit unforgettable. We can help out with any questions you might have. You just try :)
