You'll feel at home in your queen size bed with clean Egyptian cotton sheets, fresh towels, hair dryer, soap, iron... just bring your tooth brush (if you forget, I can provide that too!). Beyond the guest bedroom is the office with a daybed and comfy inflatable bed for larger groups. And finally, the master bedroom if needed for groups of 5 or more. I keep a clean and organized house and everyone has their own space.

Go for a walk on the beach or down trendy Montana Ave and explore unique boutiques, enjoy a cup of tea at an outdoor coffee shop and watch the paparazzis chase the celebrity du jour. You won't want to leave.
Bus stops are located nearby. Bus number 3 will take you to/from LA airport for $1. Buses also are available to downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Venice...
You can use my bikes or easily walk to nearby restaurants, grocery store, coffee shops...
Other Things to Note
This is important, I ask that no meat product be eaten, brought or cooked in the house. I've been a vegetarian for over 25 years and desire to keep meat out of my house. What is meat? It seems to be a blurry concept to some. Meat is any animal product to include beef, pork, poultry, seafood, shellfish or animal organ. Dairy products such as eggs, milk, cheese... are acceptable and can be brought. Some guests have come and criticized my decision and tried to sneak meat into the house, they've labeled my lifestyle "unnatural", "dangerous", "anti-christian"... I'm making a big point of mentioning this aspect so you know what to expect and no one is surprised or disappointed.
I average 25 requests per day, please message me before making reservations. I travel for a living and want to make sure I'm available to greet you. If I agree to rent please make reservations as soon as possible, someone else might beat you to it. I give priority to people who have profiles, thanks.

Carl is a very nice host and he is organized and helpful! Whole foods is less than a minute walking distance. Totally recommend this place!
My stay with Carl was the perfect introduction to Santa Monica, in a lovely neighbourhood a few blocks from the beach. Carl is generous with his home, mindful of the guests needs and respectful of their space and privacy. But also provides a social aspect too. He hosted a dinner for friends and I was invited with the other guests who were staying. The company was great and the food was absolutely delicious. A great stay that comes highly recommended.
Carl was the perfect host, generous and caring and fun, and his home was just as lovely, the location great, and I had everything I ever needed. Or more. (And he's an excellent chef, too, makes delicious food.) I felt lucky to have found my way there, what more can I say, just perfect. I envy me!
Carl's home is an absolute gem and he is a wonderful host. This was my best AirBNB experience yet. He opens up his space as if it were your own -- he had bikes for me to use, shared his garage so I had covered parking, and even made delicious vegan treats that he so graciously shared. The room had it's own bathroom and felt private. Pictures are accurate. And Carl is great company; I really enjoyed our conversations. Highly recommend.

About the Host, Carl
As an airline pilot for 25 years flying mostly Boeing 767, I've traveled extensively for work and pleasure. "1000 Places To See Before You Die" is on my nightstand. I've climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, hiked Machu Picchu in Peru, retraced Darwin’s steps in the Galapagos islands, faced the Terra Cotta in Xi An, biked across India to Agra, visited Angkor Wat and Killing Fields in Cambodia, skied the Alps, climbed the Pyramids in Egypt, cruised the Greek islands, gotten dirty in the Cuchi tunnels of Vietnam, surfed the waves of South Africa, danced tango in Buenos Aires, admired Lucy in Ethiopia, sat next to the gorillas of Rwanda, mingled with orangutans and komodo dragons in Indonesia... and a few more fun places but ultimately, travel is a discovery of the self.
Yoga, swimming, tango and biking are part of my daily routine and see very few mainstream blockbuster movies... more into indie art house productions. I'm a vegetarian, speak French and English and follow Darwin's philosophy: “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.”
