About this listing
The « 39 » is a confortable and quiet loft (600 sq ft) first floor of a typical 19th century building. The Championnet neighbourhood offers plenty of restaurants, food shops, craftshops and art galleries. It is the "Greenwich village" of Grenoble !
Business or touristic trip, the 39 Lesdiguieres in Grenoble town center welcomes you in the spirit of conviviality of his neighborhood : music, books and computer connected to the web are free. A phone is available so you can be called at local fee. In this apartment of 600 sq ft designed as a loft, the space is open and simply structured by two volumes nicely drawn : the bathroom block with a sink and a shower and the mezzanine covering the bookshelf on lounge side and desk on bedroom side. Bedding : 1 double bed in the bedroom.
No restriction. Everything you can find in the loft is for your confort and pleasure !
Interaction with guests
I never come in the flat when guests are using it, unless I'm called for a drink !
The "Village" is the other name of the Championnet square where the flat is located, from walking distance of historical town center. And it is actually the "Greenwich village" of Grenoble : all around you will find small shops with quality food, nice pubs and restaurants, craftshops and art galleries. Don't forget to look at the good places guide on the map tab. You may even be granted by the "creators fair" or a funny carboot sale.
Just around the corner, the Caserne de Bonne will offer you a brand new commercial center and some quiet places for a walk or a drink in the sun.
You'll be able to access all public transports by bus and tramway with a few minutes walk, and you can rent a "metrovelo" bike from the city (20€ per month) or a Cité Lib car from 15 € per month + 0,35 € per km. The main train and coach station is a 15-minute walk away from the flat.
I love my flat, and I love my neighbors too. So I expect any guest to be careful about both.
I"m now sharing time between my workshop in Chartreuse, the "Atelier des Cloitres", and "le 39" in Grenoble where I've been living more than ten years. I enjoy the quiet animation of the Championnet quarter after the silence of the mountain. Cabinet maker one day, web designer the other, I like to come back to my flat for a meeting in town. I don't think dishwasher and television are necessary but I consider a glass of good wine and a good hi-fi system as ordinary pleasures. I wish to welcome foreign visitors who will like "le 39".
