Excellent room and even better hosts! Hung out down stairs with everyone and they really made us feel welcome. Definitely recommend anyone to this awesome place.
Great little room with bathroom. Central location. Easy walk to the center of town / medieval mile. Eamonn's brother greeted us upon arrival. The stairwell to the rooms has a separate entrance that lets you go straight outside or into the pub. We got to visit with Eamonn when we stopped in for a nightcap before bed. He was very warm and welcoming. I hear there is free parking nearby but we found the self-parking lot just past the pub on John's Green which costs €2 for 24hrs to be easy and reasonably priced. If you are a light sleeper, or if you've traveled far and this is at the beginning of the trip I'd suggest bringing ear plugs & an eye mask. There wasn't any noise from the pub, but sometimes people outside were noisy. I was having some trouble with jet lag, popped in ear plugs and went right back to sleep. All-in-all a great stay. We enjoyed this stay, and the price so much that we ended up trying to spend the rest of our week in Ireland at pubs too.
We really enjoyed our stay with Eamonn. The room is pretty standard but is perfectly adequate and great value for money. Eamonn was very accommodating regarding check in and check out times.

My Name is Eamonn I am a grandson of the late Mrs O ‘Gorman who owned and ran the pub which is known as Kilkenny House O'Gorman's the pub was originally bought by my great great grandparents Daniel and Rose. making me the fifth generation to run the establishment. We have Recently renovated the living accommodation over the pub to en suite private rooms for rental consisting
of 3 double rooms 1 twin room and 1 single room.
O’ Gormans style as a “local” is what makes it unique, and the pub takes its style from its customers. It’s a noted venue for pre- and post hurling match “get togethers”, being so close to Nowlan Park and the train station.
