Description

The Space

This is a good sized, bright and airy double room in a recently restored Victorian 3 storey family home in the heart of Howth village and overlooking the harbour, and just 30mins from the centre of Dublin. The room is at the back of the house and therefore quiet.
It has restored varnished floorboards an original fireplace, sash windows with a comfortable sleigh bed and wardrobe space. There is a double bed so suitable for one or a couple only.
On the same floor is a living room with large sun filled bay window overlooking the harbour. There is a tv and dramatic looking working fireplace.
At the top of the house is a small roof terrace with views to the harbour and sea.
The ground floor has a large kitchen/dining area that leads to a courtyard.

We leave each guest to have their own space as much as they require. While we respect their privacy we are interested in our visitors so that we can help them make most of their visit.

Howth is an atmospheric fishing village on the edge of Dublin by the sea. Surrounded by a wide range of amenities from fishing sailing and golfing or stunning scenic walks on the beaches and cliffs. All of this makes it a fantastic place to base yourself on your visit to Dublin.
Locally there is an abundance of coffee shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. From cheap and cheerful fish and chip to high end seafood resaurants.
Nearby is Howth Castle and Demesne which also includes Deerpark public golf course. Also close by is Howth Golf Course and Sutton Golf Course.
One hundred yards from the house is the beautiful Balscadden beach, a small scenic beach ideal for a refreshing morning swim.

We are about 20min from the Airport, a taxi would be about €20-25. We are yards from the nearest bus stop, the No31 is a regular service to Dublin City Centre and takes about 35mins. A short 5min stroll to the train 'Dart' at Howth Station can whisk you into the city in 25 mins. A taxi from the city centre would be about €25

The house fronts on to the road and is between the harbour and the charming village of Howth. There is parking on the street or on the harbour front.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the most of the house apart from the office and family bedrooms and family sitting room.
