About This Listing
Looking for some where wonderful to stay in Puerto Vallarta ? This may be the place for you. An authentic Mexican neighbourhood that I love and a home that is safe, friendly, clean, comfortable and beautiful. Taking reservations for November 2015
We have organic coffee which is roasted here in the neighbourhood and we grind up the beans to keep the jar full. We also keep a selection of herbal teas and black tea.
The weather is perfect. 80's in the day and cool at night for sleeping.Easy to get here and from here to the beach. Lots to do if you do not wish to sit on the beach. I can help you get to where you wish to go. Day trips, lots from here.
All my guests this year have been so kind and wonderful.
It is a pleasure to have such great travelers passing through my little world here.
Gorgeous warm sun every single day. And the fresh fruits and veggies are a treat.
If you find the calendar booked for the dates you wish, try switching to the other two rooms listed separately. Each has it's own calendar. Any problems with booking and there have been some, just message me here and I will sort it out to your satisfaction.
I am going to add this in ...if you are a single woman or guy, especially traveling alone this is a wonderful place to start. Safe, fun and easy to maneuver from here.
Have had a lot of requests for one night. I have a 2 night minimum. So I have decided to take the one nighters for
an increase in the price per room. $15 more per room for one night. Helps with all the work it takes to get your room and the bathroom ready. We are still one of the least expensive, cleanest and most comfortable places that rent in town. Most of the cheaper ones aren't close or in town. Clean seems to be a real theme as my guests tell me how clean it is here compared to when they have stayed before coming to my place.
How far is it to the beach ? If you go out the front door walking you will reach the beach in 15 or 20 minutes. Or take the bus and go to one of the beaches farther north or south for an adventure.
This really is a Mexican home in a Mexican neighbourhood. The photos will confirm the big open living room kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms are cool and comfy and colourful. The back patio with the hammocks and the living room provide lots of space to hang out and chill. The bathrooms are roomy and tiled and clean. The hot water is endless as it is on demand. The neighbourhood is fun, filled with small shops for food and taco stands and restaurants close by.
2 blocks from my home is a main street where the buses go by constantly to everywhere all day long. Or I can call a taxi to the front door and for about $5 you can go anywhere in town. My place is unique because it is on a very real typically middle class street and all of my neighbours but one are Mexican. They are the kindest neighbours and I feel protected by them. Come and meet some of them.
So we have WIFI and cable TV for the latest in english news and of course spanish news. See you here I hope.
Guests have access to the whole house basically. The big fully equipped eat in kitchen. The living room with cable TV and channels in english, german, french movies and of course spanish. The hammocks which are big and comfy for a snooze or time on the net. We charge a small fee for cold beers, coffee, laundry or cooking for you if you wish breakfast.
Interaction with Guests
As much or as little as my guests wish. I am always ready to facilitate anything you want to do or any where you wish to go. A young couple just went on a day trip to Las Islas Mariettas and loved it. The other couple here went to the Saturday Market in Los Muertos Beach. Something for everyone.
It is away from the busy touristy part of downtown.
Easy to get downtown but nice to come home. My neighbours are all Mexican except one. All the families in this street are interrelated. They close off the street for birthday parties and the kids play in the streets. All day long people and trucks going by selling fresh fruits and vegetables and shrimp and a variety of other things. Lots of little shops near here and taco stands for a quick delicious meal. One guy down the block sells fresh barbecued fish and shrimp. You can eat there or bring it home.
Half a block from the front door is a bus into town.
If you go 2 blocks the other way you get to a bypass called the Libramiento and from there you can catch a bus going north to the Marina or south to the southern end of town. It takes about 15 minutes to get there. So easy to go any where.
If you wish I can call a taxi to come to the front door and for about $5 you can go anywhere in town.
Other Things to Note
I find guests are delighted with how clean we keep their rooms, the bathrooms and the whole house.
Not sure where they stayed before coming here but it is a recurring theme. I am always busy with keeping everything working properly and maintenance.

ALL THE GUESTS HERE SO FAR HAVE BEEN GENEROUS. THE MONEY
HELPS ME FEED THE KIDS HERE ON MY STREET. THANK YOU.
Almost anything you can wish for in food or drink wise we can produce if you let us know and someone is helping me that day. We don't serve breakfast/lunch or dinner but for a small fee you are the boss.
If you wish to use the services of the woman helping me, just ask me and I will set it up.
She can shop for you. Cook the food you bought. Take you somewhere you need to
do something. Wash your sandals. Sew
something up. Anything to help. Going to the
market to get shrimp is fun.
I just need to program it so that all the guests
are happy and we are all in harmony. Think traveling now is all about the service. Giving guests the pampering they wish for.
I had someone come and cut my guests hair, mine too. Also arranged a pedicure here.
I had already gotten mine. A fabulous guy comes to the house and gives you a massage to remember. What else can we dream up ?
Just back in Canada after 4 nights at Heidi's. Great home environment in a Mexican neighbourhood. Easy to take buses. Met other lovely guests. Great experience!! Would stay again.
Heidi is gracious and helpful. I booked this stay for my parents as a last night in Puerto Vallarta. She made them feel welcome and assisted with any travel requests. Staying with her is like staying at a friends house where one can share meals and enjoy hanging out with other guests. She helped arranging taxis, meals and travel directions as needed. We certainly plan on staying there again. If you want to get a taste of a real Mexican neighborhood this is the place to be!
These guests were actually Susan's parents. They had been here for a while in different timeshares and were heading back north. What a sweet kind couple. Susan ordered dinner here for them and breakfast. So dinner was fun. We all joined in. Hope they come thru here again next year. They left a tip for Betty my housekeeper for her 2 year olds birthday party this Saturday. Very thoughtful.
It was a pleasure to have them here as guests.
Heidi is amazing, so warm and helpful. You immediately feel like you are family staying with her. We were only there for a short time, just a night before we left early in the morning to get to the airport. Heidi helped us to arrange a taxi for very early in the morning, and woke up to see us off. Such a great host! Thank you!
Heidi was the perfect host! She has the kind of personality that makes you feel welcome and happy. Her place is exactly as listed and I loved it. I loved the location as it was representative of how residents of Mexico live- away from the tourist areas. Heidi made it easy to get around by calling taxis when needed. I would highly recommend Heidi Hammock Hacienda!
Liked him right off. Straight shooter and a very intense direct gaze directly into your soul. Just teasing but the piercing eyes are real. He was fun to have around. And thank goodness he was here as a very difficult guest arrived and he kind of cushioned the effect of her for me. A happy soul and very easy to live with. Hope we cross paths in the future on this planet.
Great little neighborhood close to downtown PV. Comfortable beds with three bedrooms available. Heidi is a world traveler, helpful with your travel plans, and a wonderful person to spend time with. It felt like home from the minute I walked in the door. I would definitely go back.
Karen arrived and fit right into the swing of things here. Yesterday she came with us to La Palapa for breakfast and a few hours on the sand. Very easy to be around and a positive force. Hope her travels coming up are wonderful. And like a homing pigeon comes back here to roost in the future.
Heidi was very friendly from the start. I really appreciate people who are the real deal and that is definately Heidi. She knows everything that you need to know and if I was ever unsure there was always suggestions from her. The neighbourhood was about a 20 minute walk from downtown and close to all of the public transportation to take you anywhere. There were kids etc in the neighbourhood but aren't there in every residential area lol. Once I settled in and got to know my surroundings I loved it
Steph was the Best. Blew in here a day late but quickly made up for lost time. It was fun to see her beautiful tall fab body all dolled up in some amazing outfit ready to cruise out and turn heads. Here at home it felt like my much younger Sis came to crash with me. Very kind and chatty and easy to live with. Hope this is just her first visit.
Heidi's Hacienda was a wonderful escape from the touristy beach areas of the old town. She has lived here for a long time and is well connected in the neighbourhood resulting in a very pleasant experience of "real" Mexico even with our lack of Spanish. Very comfortable and welcoming place that we would certainly return to again.
Craig and Tracey were great guests. They had already been here for a while when they arrived at my door step. What a fun way to celebrate his wife's Bday here in the warm sun. Although the only rains in winter, the Cabalganas arrived in full force. So they snuggled up on the couch to watch the Super Bowl here on cable and we all had hot drinks. Last night one of my kids here ( Ericka lives a few doors down ) took them to a local pizza place and I think they loved it. Ericka brought me one too and it was delish. Family run little business a few blocks away. They also went to my favourite pharmacist Lina 2 blocks away. Hope they really enjoyed their stay with me.

About the Host, Heidi
I have good people skills and I grew up working in my Dad's resort hotel. So as a child I worked at different jobs there growing up. Now I love having guests in my home. Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas are outstanding when it comes to a winter vacation as the weather is unbelievable and consistently fabulous. I am in my early 60's on the outside and still somewhat of a child within. Left home very young and travelled far and wide for years. Speak english, spanish and french. Love kids and gardening. Never married or had kids. My partner of over 30 years Arturo
has been gone for 3 years now. Life seems to be about changes and realignment and charting fresh exciting courses. Let me know what you dream of doing while in and around Puerto Vallarta and I will do my utmost to help fulfill them. See you here I hope. Chao for now.
