About This Listing
Location is the key word for this awesome property conveniently located in the heart of Old West Austin. Just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Whole Foods flagship store, upscale shopping and gourmet dining (also check out the in store performances at Waterloo Records, around the corner). The neighborhood, referred to as Clarksville by locals, is entirely safe for nighttime walking and flying solo. Downtown is close enough to get lost in, and my place makes it easy enough to escape the hustle, retreat from the bustle, and unwind.

This was my first time using airbnb and it was a great experience. Alexis' place was clean and cozy, and felt like home for a few days. She was very friendly and sent messages to give me some local food suggestions and to check if I needed anything. This little apartment building doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is surrounded by big beautiful homes. The neighborhood is really charming and close to everything I wanted to explore. I saved money by not staying at a hotel and had a more local experience. Win!
Hotel Alexis is fab. Great location right near Whole Foods/an easy Uber ride anywhere for less than $10. And the bed is super comfortable. Mimosa makings in the fridge help too! Alexis is also super easy to deal with and very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay again.
My boyfriend and I came down to Austin on vacation and Alexis's spot was perfect. It's in a very centrally located area. We did not have to rent a car. We walked easily everywhere and had access to Bcycle, the towns city bike program, and biked around one day. There are also zip car locations nearby for the one day we drove to Lockhart for BBQ. There is a big parking lot if we happened to rent a car. $20 uber ride from airport.
The apartment was clean and cozy with plenty of fresh towels. Full dish set with silverware, pots and pans. We like to cook breakfast in the mornings. A/C was great. Internet was fast.
All in all a great stay! Exactly how it is described--i would recommend!
We loved this apartment! Alexis is very nice and accommodatable. We felt very welcome here. The place was super clean and exactly as listed. We walked a lot during our visit, there are lots of nice places you can get to quickly by foot, including Castle Hill Graffiti Park. The street the apartment building is on is very cute, I loved looking at the houses each time we walked somewhere. When we weren't walking, we used Uber and I don't think we paid more than $10 for two people on a trip once - the apartment is very conveniently located! There's wifi access which I always appreciate. Also, the bed is SUPER comfy! I highly recommend this apartment and would gladly come back for another visit. Thanks Alexis!!
I stayed at "Hotel Lexis" during SXSW. It was a perfect location - close to the action but far enough to escape the madness. It's about a 30-minute walk to the convention center. I used Austin bike share all week and there are two docks just down the street from Alexis' studio. The surrounding neighborhood is gorgeous and it's super close to Whole Foods, 24 Diner (which was great!), and Waterloo. The studio was quiet with fast wi-fi, clean sheets, fresh towels, a fan, and a/c. I would stay here again!
The apartment is very simple but its exactly what you want in Austin. It is the perfect space for 1-2 people and Alexis has done a great job laying it out to make it seem even roomier than it is. The apartment close to downtown (walk/$5 uber), has all the essentials you need, and is comfortable to sleep in. Alexis was a great communicator, and while I never met her, she was very prompt and accurate about all of her descriptions and expectations.
The apartment has Apple TV and a bluetooth speaker, which is great for hanging out and getting ready. Alexis left a bottle of champagne and some OJ which was a really nice touch. The apartment is located in a very cute and quiet neighborhood, which still has access to great late night food options (24 Diner) and shopping (whole foods). I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to come to Austin that was focused on exploring.
Note: be sure to bring your own toiletries (toothpaste, bath soap, etc). This ain't a hotel people! :)
